Ummm, back in the day.... ;)

Ever use a carto? That metal end isn't real comfortable on the lips. And with a dripping type atomizer, you need some easy way to "open it up" to drip in more liquid. Drip tips to the rescue!

Some clearos have the mouthpiece - which is all the drip tip is, really - made as a non-removable part, some it's removable. Makers' / designers' choice.

Personally, I'm not fond of stainless, so if possible, I swap them out to something more comfortable to me. Different shapes will, of course, also feel different. Length of the drip tip can alter the vape - longer tips will allow more time for the vapor to cool. Size of the bore - the hole through the tip - will affect air flow.

Different colors just for fun - or to make it easy to keep track of what flavor is in what topper :)

Hello everyone, cam someone explain the purpose of a drip tip and the difference between a drup tip and one that does not cvome off the tank amd why you would buy a doffetent one? TY

The mouthpiece (drip tip) contributes to the taste.
Many tips on rda's and rba's especially are made of metal, which can cause problems heat conduction to the lips.

I use shorty ceramic drip tips; I also got some glass tips but I found the shorty ceramic ones hold more snuggly- no wobble.

When you get a new tank, and want to compare it with others, it helps to use the same drip tip so you have the same feel on your lips

alot of cheap clones/knockoffs are made with chromeplated brass, and I find chome irritates the lips.

They're obviously not all interchangeable, because I've tried. But I've never specifically looked for them so I don't know what the standard sizes are. I could measure a few, I suppose, but it's easier to ask here and drink my beer. :D
I've really had no preference as far as materials go up until now, except that plastic is better for my teeth when I'm on the tractor, but I'll be working outdoors for the next several months in the frozen northeast. I learned long ago not to put frozen metal near my mouth.
Who makes/sells different tips of different materials for specific tanks?

If you're not in a hurry...fasttech has many, many to choose from. I ordered just drip tips and they only took 2 weeks to get here. They all say they fit the 510 but some were a little loose. Someone on fasttech forum told me to wrap dental floss under the oring on the bigger ones. That worked well. Don't use mint floss tho-you can taste it.

Most tanks use a standard '510 drip tip' interface.

One exception is the popular kayfun, but you can order a 'custom top cap' for it which takes the standard 510 drip tips.
