Whenever I want to vape and my vape is cooled, why always the first few puffs like first 10 puffs is quite harsh on my throat, after awhile it's smoother. Is it my wicking?

Also, whenever I cold start, do I vape from low watt and subsequent increase to 30watt which I vape, or is it only for new break in for new wick and coil.

Thank you and look forward for replies.

Maybe after 10 puff, u r used to it. When u say harsh, u coughed? Can try "cigar style", take in and hold in ur mouth first, then bring it down ur throat.

Provide more details like ur build, coil, wire, etc. someone with the same setup may advice better.

I'm using subox mini,
It's harsh as in its rough to the throat but not pain enough to cough, very annoying, is it due to weaking.

It's the throat hit from nic. The more you vape, the less pronounced it gets. The first few hits I get in the morning is harsher (and I love it). Same thing happens when I stop vaping for a couple of hours.

If you don't enjoy it, try not to inhale for the first couple of hits. exhale thru your nose. That would give you a nice nose hit.

@BobCJ
Try the recommendations out and get back to the forum.

Most will be happy to help you keep away from analog.
Thanks! I'd be changing flavor tonight and be rewicking, Scottish style. Haha, will get back to review.

Anyways does one have to vape from low watt slowly gradually back to high/normal like 30 when the tank is cool

@VapGeek its fine I found my source! Anyway I tried Scottish wicking, not sure I'm doing it correctly or not. First time I tried maybe I have too much cotton, keep getting dry hit I believe, the flavor is like tinted with chaotar smell, couldn't sleep so I rewick this time much lesser cotton, like videos on YouTube. Can taste the flavor so much better!

Also, I'm using subox mini rba subohm, but when I rewick/change coil, sometimes getting 9.9ohm error. I try play around with the coil bottom loosen it and see connection again. But it'll never be 0.5ohm. I wonder why is that so. It's sometimes at .7 or .6, but I researched higher ohm leads to cooler vape and battery saving, I'm going to play around with my newly made coils soon!

1. tighten post screw
2. tighten rba deck
3. tighten atty base
4. check if your atty 510 screw is too deep into the atty.

normally 1-3 will fix you 9.9ohm and slight fluctuation in resistance (0.1) is normal.
