It's really something that parents have to take care themselves unless there is some big mandate that comes down and forces child proof caps on everything. Most of us have collections of juice from various vendors. If the kids into the juice collection, 5 safety caps out of 50 isn't going to make a difference. If a law was to be passed, I bet that you would see a narrower selection of sizes available, especially in the small sample sizes and costs would go up. Then you run into things like prefilled cartomizers... do they need to be in a child safe container ? What about disposable e cigs ?

Don't get me wrong, I've got a 3.5 year old and an almost 2 year old in the house. I'm ultra paranoid about them getting into juice or equipment. My own personal rule, when the kids are awake, is to have only one PV out at time and everything else is on the top shelf of the cabinet. When I need to refill a carto, 1 bottle comes out at a time and is returned ASAP. NOTHING sit around.

I understand the concern when something is claimed child-proof and completely isn't... But the best child-proofing device is the parent.

My 4 year old opens "Child-proof" containers just fine (crafty little rascal) so when I want to "childproof" anything I will make it so I'm sure it's not reachable or could be opened and then... double up my efforts because they will reach the top most shelf and chew through any container if they want to get inside of it! :)

I had a hand injury so I can't get the damn things off either. I'm not any more thrilled with them than you are. But, there it is. You hate to see a kid OD, but I curse them every time I get one myself.

I thought she might not know MV couldn't respond here. Instead of getting a bunch of flack, just post over there.

I relate to the hand injury. Bullet through my smart hand. At least 3 fingers still work fairly well. My main point is that we all need to take responsibility for our own and our families safety ie: transfer the juice to whatever is best for the situation.

I have ordered from MV before and I know their TopVapor liquid comes in childproof bottles, but I have never ordered china liquid from them. I wonder if it comes prepackaged and they just resell it.

Edit: After taking a look at their site in the china e-liquid section the bottles used are different than the ones used for their in house brand. I don't think it should have to be the retailer's responsibility to repackage an already packaged product for sale.

I am not disagreeing with the OP's post, but I take parenting as my responsibility not others. I keep all my gear locked in a tackle box and juices inside of it are sealed in zip lock bags just in case. It only takes one time to have something go horribly wrong and this small precaution gives me peace of mind when my attention is elsewhere.

It's not their responsibility to keep your children out of your adult product. Keep it locked away out of their reach, OR childproof the juice yourself. No bottle is actually childproof and I hope you're not actually using "childproof bottles" as a way to keep them in the open around your kids. If they want in, they'll get in.
