Patience, people! :vapor: You've probably heard all this before, so bear with me.
I was encouraged to try vaping by 3 co-workers who have quit tobacco cigarettes entirely. One insisted that you have to quit tobacco entirely, or else you won't enjoy vaping. Another tapered off from tobacco gradually, and decided that he preferred vaping. I got a KGO e-cig, and some advice, and I do like it. My friend gave me a few ml. of EC Blend's "Ruyan", 36mg. nic (strong, I know) 70% PG 30% veg, and it was almost uncannily satisfying. It reminded me of smoking Cavendish pipe tobacco. I had been smoking 15-20 RYO cigs a day, and I still do smoke some.
This is the "problem", if you can call it that. I've only eliminated a few analogs a day from my routines, but I feel much better. Less fatigue, irrritability, muscle aches, foot numbness, and more energy. I am skeptical that I could get that many results from just cutting out a few cigs a day? Have I just psyched myself out? Or am I high on nicotine?
Another thing: I have been told that Propylene Glycol is an ingredient in asthma rescue inhalers. If so, is it an active or inert ingredient? (See where I'm going with this?)

your 36mg juice is certainly in the high strength range but you can play with the nic levels as much as you like.

I didn't start vaping with the goal of quitting smoking, though that seems to be what has happened. The less I smoked the better I felt and seeing as I move towards that which feels good, guess what...no more cigs. :)

PG is not an active ingredient, it just facilitates the transport of nicotine to our mouth and creates the vapor. Not saying it's not harmful (that hasn't been absolutely proven yet), but commonsense tells us that it has to be much safer than smoking and research to date seems to support this.

It's no problem, if you want to quit smoking, you will, if you don't, you won't. Quitting does have its benefits though.

Good start mate, keep it going.

By the way, Welcome to ECF.

toWelcome to the ECF Jim! Great start with the KGO. Very solid device to begin your journey with. Yes, 36mg is on the high side for most. If you actually do overdose on it your body will tell you very quickly. Give yourself some time ot adjust and don't think that vaping will replace smoking instantly. It doesn't for many and that's fine. Take it at your own pace. You'll go through many changes in the coming days, weeks, months.

I smoked for 42 years and for me it was just too damn easy to be true. But, you know what, it was true! I had no intension of laying down the stinkies but it happened. You can do this. It DOES work. We see it daily here. Over and over people are moving to what we think is a much healthier alternative to smoking.

Welcome! I have no idea on the inhaler question. A general consensus here is that you can alternate at the start. Wasn't that way for me. I had smoked for 45 years ,and decided that this was going to be it as nothing else worked. I stopped smoking the same day I started vaping and haven't had one since. And the first couple of days took some encouragement and determination. I've had a double-dose of life's pop-up out of nowhere problems to boot during this, but no smokes. My pv isn't ever farther than 6 inches from my hand. But I'm going to give it my all. Read here, and adjust according to what will work best for you!

Welcome to the forum! I never really intended to quit. I'm around someone that had to quit for health reasons and didn't want to smoke around them. As time went on I found I liked vaping better than smoking.

There's no right way or wrong way to do this. If you smoke a cig the vaping police won't come knocking on your door!

If you do want to quit entirely and you're having problems doing that, just ask and we'll be happy to offer suggestions. For now, just relax and get used to your pv and enjoy!:vapor:
