Newbie to vaping!!!

Hi, I have been vaping on one of these for a few days now, heres the link to see it.
http://www.ecigarettedirect.co.uk/products/halo-electronic-cigarette.html
Unfortunately I am not to impressed with the cost of cartridges for it and would like to move on fairly quickly
to one with a refillable tank, but cost is an issue for me, I am grateful thus far for not actually smoking any roll ups since I started vaping but on a low income it is unfortunately easier to go backwards to smoking again rather than recover the ground I have already taken and move on.
I would ideally like to be able to covert the automatic batteries I have to a refillable version, the adapters lists on the cloud9 website say that it is a 510 connection between the cart and the auto battery, if this is correct can anyone please help me with selecting the parts necessary to make a refillable ecig?

the auto batteries I already have on the Halo last me approxamately 6 hours each which I find more than enough to get me through the days. I shall be buying the e-liquid from cloud9 also in the future as the other place (above) only sell 5ml bottles at silly money prices.
the size and look of a anologue ciggy seems to do it for me for some reason to so this is kind of important .
I didnt realise how much of the addiction to nicotene was habbitual in my case. I really do need to stay of the tobbacco
for serious health reasons.

your experience would be gratefully appreciated, many thanks in advance.

Welcome and congratulations on moving to vaping rather than smoking!

I don't know about the kit you pointed to but I'm sure that more experienced posters will be along soon to help.

I actually chose the eGo when I started after reading this forum for a while. From what I've read, many people like to start with the cigarette look but soon find that the battery life is a bit lacking. Either way, the main thing is that you've started. You can make adjustments as you gain more experience. I definitely get what you're saying about breaking the habit... just stay with it :)

Check out some of the kits on these sites.

Electronic Cigarette Supplies - Free UK Delivery! & 510 Titan Tank E.Cig / Electronic Cigarette Company

Look at the 510 and E-go systems. Those have a really good reputation among noobs and experienced vapers as well. They are also a bit more "universal" in that supplies can be found for them from many suppliers so you can do some price shopping, as opposed to the more proprietary brands that make you buy your consumables directly from them since they aren't standardized. Good luck!

is the Riva 510 any good anyone? I have been looking at some of those suggested above like the 510 Titan Tank & the ego but spare parts seem a tad expensive compared to the Riva 510. the startwer pack with two batts is £33.95 not to bad.
I have also spotted a reduced Tornado E-NiC for £29.99 but the filling process seems laborius and only alows for 50 puffs.
the Riva 510 seems to be the best value for money but also a wee bit feminine to look at so black or steel is an option colour wise. any thoughts please?
thanks for your advice (above) regards Nigel.

The Riva 510 is brill :D

Vape escape do one of the best deals as you can ask for the atomisers that come with the kit to be swapped for 10 cartomisers -use discount code "allabout" for 10% off -

The Riva 1100 Deluxe Kit £34.95 - Deluxe Vaping Kits - Riva 1100 Kit Electronic Cigarettes | Vaping Devices | Accessories | E-Liquid

They are out of stock of the black at the moment but have heard they should be getting them back in stock this week.

Great price, and choice. The Riva is pretty universal, (can use any 510 stuff), has a slightly higher voltage than the eGo, and works like a champ. I have a couple of PV's but my eGo died recently and I replaced it with the Riva SE 1100mah. I really like it, and have 0 complaints.

Oh now Iam confused 1100 mah I was happy with the 650mah model low resistance & cartomisers instead of atomisers boy its getting confusing now, I have just opened up one of the cartomiser tips to my ecig and I reckon they are refillable even though the supplier says not. if I drip feed them and leave them over night so there is no chance of any fluid dripping into the auto battery they should be ok. will still buy a Riva though just got to get my head round a lot of the terminology. fortunately I love technology.

Welcome to the ecf community Nigel.

First and foremost, if I were you I would go here for all your future needs: E Liquid - E Juice - E Cig Liquid - Vg E Liquid - Ry4 If your looking to stick with UK vendors. Plus, they have a 20% off coupon on their home page and their prices are normally decent.

Here is the page for adapters: Mods - E-Cig Multi Adapters

Then just look on the left hand side of the page for cartomizers, and select the one you need.

Good luck.

couldn't get hold of a black Riva 500 so I bought a Gold Riva 1100 instead, I have asked them to remove the atomisers and put in 10 carts instead. whole order with the "allabout" discount code (Thanks Chrissie) and a soft whistle tip came to £32 plus postage.
my juice that I ordered yesterday should be here tommorrow and I'm going to try filling my e-cig to get me by until the Riva 1100 lands at the doorstep, I have steam cleaned the carts with the coffee machine steam output and put them on the radiator to dry over night, I shall try to fill them tommorrow.
Thank you to everyone that gave me advice on which Vapourizer to buy I am fairly happy I managed to get one even if the colour is gold and no black ones are available I can still change the cone on the top and the mouth piece making half of it black, when the battery warrenty runs out I can spray the battery packs black to match the rest. no probs. maybe I'll have them different colours one black and 1 gold?

Thanks again everyone your help has been very valuable, I am off the Amber leaf tobbacco now for five days without Vaping I would have thumped someone by now, this has saved them a bruising........lol

cheers Nigel.
