Hello, there!

I'm new to vaping and I'm still not to knowledgable on how these things work. However, I'd recently stopped smoking with my purchase of teh EgoT and I just have some questions regarding the build of these things. But I'll ask those in the appropriate threads.

Good to be here.

EDIT: It's not letting me post in the other forums for some reason, so I'm afraid I'm just going to ask them here.

I've heard there are two o-ring gaskets inside the tanks of these things. I saw one of them floating around the top, just under the mouth-piece. It's bigger than the one on the actual mouth-piece, though. Where does this thing go???

Thank you!

From your description, it sounds like you are describing a cartotank.

There are typically two pairs of "0-rings" to be found on the end caps of a cartotank. The larger pair (outer o-rings) fit between the tank tube and the endcaps to form a seal. The smaller pair (inner o-rings) fit between the end caps and the cartomizer.

The inner o-rings can be damaged when you insert the cartomizer into the tank. The top edge of the cartomizer is sharp and can cut into the tight-fitting o-rings. There are tools available to prevent this from happening, and I suggest you purchase one. The one that I personally recommend is a tool called the Slap Yo Moma from Big Daddy Vapor. Slap Yo' Mama Adapter : Big Daddy Vapor

These are available in a stainless steel version, and a less expensive delrin plastic. Both work equally well. Below is a review/demonstration of this tool.

O-rings are important to your tank because they are what holds the components together without leaking e-liquid. You will likely need to replace your torn o-ring by contacting the manufacturer where you purchased your tank. Once you have the appropriate o-rings, do a You Tube search on how to replace the old one.
