Hello all! I've browsed over several threads since I quit analogs four months ago. Still going strong and vaping like a champ: I started off with disposable V2's, Ego-C and made a big jump to a Mechanical Chi Style of Mojo Version 2013. The Mojo Mod weighs what feels like 20lbs and I absolutely cannot stand using Kangertech "anything" at this point. The protank two within my ego used to flood all the time and a pack of five coils lasted me a week. I started off with 2.4% or 12-24mg of nicotine and now have it scaled back to 0.2% or 6mg of nicotine, 50/50-PG/VG. The Mojo mod has a Kangertech Protank 3 and to be honest, I can't stand it.

A buddy of mine came with me to our local vape shop. He bought a Vamo V3 with a Viv Novai tank (long wick). I switched his tank with mine and it made a huge difference. His variable voltage on the Vamo was amazing and the taste of the same juice was noticeable. Unfortunately my local vape shop upcharges like crazy. The Vivi nova on my Mojo made the purchase worth it (to me).

I think that I'm starting to develop a PG allergy that or I'm burning my Coils into the ground. I'm waking up with a smokers cough. My tanks end up almost with a burnt look to them. This might have something to do with me chain vaping during the day. I prefer allot of vapor when I vape.

Tank/Coil/Wick recommendations for a Vamo V5 and or Style of Mojo Ver 2013 (I believe 3.7v)? I'd like to go with a longwick. Nautilus? I'd like to keep the weight down and I'm on the fence about plastic tips vs.'s stainless steel. I like the durability of stainless steel but the plastic tips are more comfortable and lighter. Like I said, my buddy's Nova VIVI as cheap as it looked, whooped my Protank 3 - Airflow, etc.

I haven't graduated to drip tips just yet. For me its just ease of use, simply replacing coils.

Thanks!!!:)

What is probably happening is the coil is getting gunked up from the liquid being heated up and basically caramelizing if you will (may not be a pg allergy, but rather you're just burning the wick as well) In the case of replaceable heads that's when you would toss them out typically because the flavor is bad when that happens. You can try to dry burn it off but I personally never had good luck with that on replaceable heads.

Have you considered rebuildables? They're pretty easy and you will have the ability to tweak it to what works for you plus cotton as a wick soaks more liquid, which is obviously better if you chain vape. Plus on rebuildables when you change wick because of new flavor or wick/coil is gunked up, you have the coil by it self (no wick) and you just dry burn it until all the dark crap is gone off of it, which then saves you from having to anyways build a new coil. Research into the kayfun which is a very popular rebuildable tank if you've never heard of it. Once you have a rebuildable, the cost is super cheap, just liquid wick and resistance wire are you costs to maintain and keep vaping unless you want new devices lol.

Hey thanks for the info.! You're absolutely right. I think I'm literally just frying my coils and it is almost like a caramelization taste.

I've considered rebuildables but haven't pushed that far with my research. I can tell you that just simply taking a peak at the Kayfun equivalent (Russian 91%), it would seem that the choices are endless. I'd like to simply have one website to order all of my consumables instead of going on a wild goose chase for parts, wicks, wire, etc. A tutorial would be nice as well.

VaporDNA has a Russian 91% listed with a few thousand different drop down menus for options. I'm a bit overwhelmed.

I'm looking for a smaller/low profile tank for a Provari Mini and something a bit better for my Mojo Mod and Vamo V5. I just now realized that the airflow outlets actually service a purpose :)

It amazes me how much my local shop upcharges and how much cheaper ebay carries most of these odds and ends.

my provari minis with kayfun 3.1 clones (nano glass kits on both, holds like 2ml or so of liquid), they're not too bad, nice and flush looking not huge at all. Obviously those are not stock kayfun driptips, those are the smoke quartz tips.
Angelcigs has the kayfun 3.1 clone at a good price and then all you would need is resistance wire and cotton (organic is highly recommended) both of which I got on amazon. But you can obviously just get cotton at a store too.

I know people love the 91% and kayfun lite/plus but 3.1 makes sense to me because you can fill using the fill port without having to remove device from battery because it's on the side, not the bottom. Also the catch chamber at the bottom once it floods is nice because if you flood you can clear it without worries of shooting liquid out because it'll go into that section when you invert and blow through tip. You can obviously clean it out later, or even save the juice if you're really cheap lol.

Even since I went kayfun, I'm now pushing 5volts on the provari, used to only do 3.6v with some clearos I used before. That's how much better the wicking is. I enjoy full flavor with plenty of vapor.

Thanks autobiogphnation! I'm going to stick with replacement coils for now and just use a different tank. The Kangertech Protank II and III where a much better experience than the original Protank. But, thats not to say that I still have flooding issues and like I said, I go through Kangertech coils like they're going out of style.

A buddy of mine had a ViVi Nova tank. Super cheap looking but........ the long wicks and airflow made a huge difference when we swapped tanks. They're relatively inexpensive online.

Any tank w/long wick - coil recommendations? Aspire Nova Vivi? CE4? I'm gravitating towards long wicks. I can't wait to order my Provari and the Vamo V5. Heck, I'm guessing that a new tank setup will benefit my Style of Mojo Mechanical Mod as well.

Thanks!

Recently Aspire released the Nautilus Mini and a new coil design that seems promising. I have a regular Aspire Nautilus and have been really pleased with it so far including the life of the coils. If you can find someone locally that has one and is willing to let you try it out I would do so.

From my research they also revamped the coil heads and apparently (around 10-15 watts) they make a nice cloud of vapor.

Well guys I recently picked up a Vamo V5 off of ebay that came with two CE4 Tanks. I can tell you that compared to my Spirit of Mojo Ver2013 Mechanical Mod, I'm not that satisfied with it and I think it has something to do with the tank. My mechanical has a pro tank 3. And even though just about every brass threaded piece is a royal pain in the .... to "unfreeze" it produces at least a flavor as opposed to the Vamo with a CE4 tank installed.

My vamo setup produces an almost a no taste vapor with a slight burnt hint to it. I followed the instructions and set it to RMS and fired it low off the bat. From there I went up to 3.2 which is lower than the 3.7 than I prefer with my buddies V3 (Nova VI VI tank). Anything above 3.2 and it tastes burnt. Again, hardly any flavor when vaping. Ideas?

If my two week old mechanical wasn't literally falling apart (stuck threads) and barely producing vapor, I'm almost at the point where (in 4 months) I considered an analog today and calling it a day with the ecigs.

Any help would be great.
