I have COPD as well. So far my lung function tests have been good but I have asthma which really flares up when I smoke a pack a day. I recently received my Vapor King (808) and love it. I know I'll be quitting smoking any day now. Each day I vape more and more and smoke less and less. I still haven't found my perfect carto flavors yet but I'm working on it. I have faith that you can quit smoking with an e-cig. Good luck to you and may God be watching over you. :)

I have not been diagnosed with COPD, but if I had gone to a Doc before I ordered my NPro kit I doubt if they would have let me out even by now, except in a box! That's not being flip about it, I was just about done for, about all I had enery for was fill coffee cup, make a cigarette, go sit and smoke. And the cigarette/coffee ratio never was quite right, so had to either go for more coffee or another cigarette! 2-3 packs or more every day.
That was almost 1 year ago. My lung function (with a lot of hard work deep breathing exercise and drinking more water) is now at about 90% of my pre-smoking days. Not all lung damage will recede by going to vapor, however, I still have an asthma-type bad day on occasion. But I actually lived, regained energy, can go through a day without breaking capillaries in my face coughing. I am functional working person again, and so thrilled with the idea on Day One after 44 years of HEAVY smoking, I stopped cigarettes cold and made it just fine!
Do get yourself checked out medically, but do get on the vaping wagon, because it's probably going to do no harm. That's the bottom line, no harm.
Good luck to you!
P.S. PG was not good for me either, I use 100% VG from ECOpure (cignot and intellicig) to my estimation is the very best! I D.I.Y. too. I do love my tobacco (yes!)

I should have my new 510 monday but this is taking forever. LOL I cannot wait to be able to set down analogs once and for all. I got some VG juice to go with it so this will be fun.
Good luck with your new 510. Remember vaping is not going to give you that instant nicotene fix like analogs. Remember to draw slow on the 510, it's not like an analog where you can draw as hard as you want. I made some juicy fruit juice last night 60% vg 40% pg but you could make it 100% vg, tastes just like the gum, I love it, I got the flavoring from tasty puff, I saw you like sweeter juices so I just thought I'd let you know. I smoked for 38 years and tried everything to quit and this looks like it's going to work for me. Wishing you the best!

I am enjoying all my new friends here on ECF and all the great advice I have been getting. I dont seem to have as much problem getting off the nicotine as much as the habit itself. I like the vapor and once I get the mix right I know I will be fine. Thank you all and keep the advice coming.

flingitnow, welcome! And good luck with your attempts to alleviate COPD. Many here have it, and vaping has helped them big time. I'm no doc, though, so that is just the observation from their posts.

For a very smooth VG juice with zero or no PG even in the flavors they use, I would recommend Vermont Vapor:

Vermont Vapor - The Smoking Alternative

Really nice, and some of my favorites. The Vermont Maple is a sweet tobacco juice that is just delish.

And I agree with the suggestion to try some of nhaler's lung juices. All VG and they should be quite soothing.

And I'm with ya on the PG thing. Makes my throat and mouth raw. Also upsets my stomach.

Good luck and let us know how it goes! :)

Thank you for all the fantastic information. I am being seen by a doc for my COPD and just recently changed doctors too and he has been running all kinds of tests. I ordered the Npro but I am "TOTALLY" not able to use the PG base. I also figured out only when I joined ECF that I was using the wrong method too. I went to charge my Npro and it wouldnt charge so I am looking forward to a NEW PV with all kinds of new juices. I have purchased the ECOpure AND some Lung Juice all from Cignot. I also just went an extra step and got a car charger and USB charger today. I ordered the auto battery but also got an extra extended life manual battery. I am going to order more juice but not sure if I want to go with fruity or tobacco flavors. I will see once everything comes in. I played it safe and got some ECOpure Pure USP VG and Distilled Water 15ml (ECOmix) with mixing bottle for cutting, just in case. I have gotten some very valuable information from ECF.
When I had my last attack from COPD I actually HAD to quit smoking for 11 days, but as soon as I could, I went and got more smokes because I missed the habit itself of being able to blow the smoke out. After a year of research and trial and error I think this will be successful for me. I need it to be successful. Keep the ideas coming and Thank you.

I'd be optimistic about the vaping. I've smoked for 30 years, have heart disease from it, in fact when I had a heart attack, I checked out of the hospital days before I was supposed to just cause I wanted to smoke :
Now I'm sure my e-smoking isn't as smart as just quitting completely, but I was unable to do that. This was pretty simple to switch to for me, and am liking it so far. Good luck with yours, and btw, that cat with rubiks cube avatar is awesome ;
