Hi! I was trying to post in the new members intro, but it said the thread was closed! Please move this to the appropriate area!

Anyways, call me Susie Q! I started vaping on Monday with my manual shorty V4L! I smoked analog about 10 years, quit around 1997, but went back to a couple years ago. I was tired of the smell, how it made me feel, and my kids telling me to stop smoking because it would kill me! School is great in educating the kids about drugs! Anyways, glad to be here!

Yeah that thread is confusing - I tried to do the same thing when I started here. This is the right place. And after 5 posts/replies in New Members and about an hour's wait and then you can post elsewhere on the forum. But this is the best place for new user questions.

Grats! My first V4L was shorty too. Eventually I bought the standard batteries for the 60% longer charge life but I enjoyed the shorty length. Now I vape both my Vapor4Life and a 510 w/ cartomizers. Cartomizers make ecigs a lot less work!

My fave V4L flavors so far are WOWbacco (a strong cocoa tobacco, mostly like dark dark chocolate. WOWBoy is the same w/ a bit of mint added) and WOW Vanilla (a sweet rich marshmallowy vanilla) and I refill them with whatever other company's juice I like (but I bought a bottle of that WOWbacco)

You sound like me! I just ordered a kit from V4L that is shorty based. Waiting for it but it's looking good that it might arrive tomorrow, else monday. How's the battery life on yours?

How exciting and congratulations! It lasts probably about 2 1/2 hours or at least that is about the time it feels like I need to make more effort to pull in, although there is still lots of vapor and the light is still fairly bright. i usually connect back to the portable charger, so I really it's hard to tell!

Thanks for sharing your favorites! I bought the cool carts 555 in 18 mg, but I think the throat kick is too strong for me. I sort of like it, but I don't think I will finish the four that I have left. I am really liking the chocolate peppermint a lot, so I will def order more of those. I heard waffle is pretty good and I want to get my hands on some coffee flavors and fruit!

Does this mean putting it down and doing something for a hour, then coming back to take a puff? Or does this time mean continuous puffs/(manual pushes of a button) - Been trying to figure out where the time estimates are based. TIA! And thanks, I'm stalking the UPS page to track my package. Is it wrong that I know it's in a city a hour away and would drive there to retrieve it from the place instead of waiting 12 more hours to have it delivered? LOL j/k -Wouldn't actually do that... or would I... hmm...

Sorry about not being clear! So this is what happened yesterday and how I estimated the 2 1/2 hours.

1. Walked from train to car - puffed for about 2-3 min. continuously.
2. Drive home - 10 min. of puffing, with about 30 sec in between
3. No vaping for 30 min.
4. Sitting outside watching the kids play - 1 hour of on and off vaping, with short breaks in between. At this point, it felt like it was starting to lose charge, but I am not sure still because I was still able to get pretty good vapor, and the purple light was showed, but it seemed like I had to make more effort in pulling in. It might also be because my cart was running out, but I was kind of expecting that burnt, marshmallow taste, which I didn't get. So hard to say.
5. Vaped for another 10 min. on and off, while doing laundry.

Today, when I vape, I will use a new cart and keep that on the battery all day. Maybe, I will get better results that way too. I kept changing the carts and maybe my taste buds got confused.

I hope you receive your package today! I was actually thinking that very same thing, and was ready to drive out to the post office! I ordered last Sunday late night, and it came Tuesday.

I love your assessment presented of time. That's a very good idea of what those "lasts XX hours" and exactly what I was looking for Toasted marshmallow? I suppose that's when the cart is running out, like you said, and am also grateful for your idea of "funny taste" so I know when to change carts. That's the part I'm worried about the most as I smoke analog and have a warped sense of taste.

Already found a craft-floss box to use to sort my goodies... now to sneak over to the "what to do with new kit" section so I can be sure everything gets charged properly for a long-lasting life. ^^
