Hello vapers of the world,

Just thought I'd introduce myself - i'm Lee living in Swindon in the UK. I have been analogue-free for just over a month and, after trying a cheap and cheerful generic e-cig a couple of months ago (which I gave away quickly, although it did show me the potential of vaping and pulled me into the vaping world) have been very happily vaping my V2 cig since purchasing just over a month ago.

Since becoming a vaper, I have converted two of my friends (who were previously die-hard analogue smokers) and my sister is also convinced and is awaiting the funds for her starter kit. I have also influenced the General Manager of a very large nightclub to stock e-cigs behind the bar in his venue, although I think it's probably more down to profit margins rather than concern for his customer's wellbeing.

I have been a 'lurker' for a while and find this forum to behold a wealth of information, for which I am extremely grateful.

:)

Hi Lee.

Well done regarding the night club. I think many of the pubs etc, are seriously missing an opportunity for both profit on ecig supplies and customers who want to smoke but can't as it's banned.

I agree wholeheartedly. I myself am a professional club DJ and vape while working. As you can imagine, it attracts quite a bit of attention and puzzled looks. And, quite a lot of disapproving glares - to which my response is usually to thrust the apparently burning cigarette tip into my eye followed by a shrug of the shoulders - people usually 'get it' then, some even ask to try it!

I had difficulty finding it too, as I think that it's location variies depending on the version of vbulletin used.

Mine looks nothing like a cig, and the first thing I bought (elites) had a green led, so pretty obvious. Bit wimpish about vaping where smoking is not permitted (except at work, when on my own), so tend to stealth.

I intend to buy a different coloured battery with a blue LED tip to avoid confusion. I have only been asked to refrain from vaping once, and that was in a fast-food outlet, even after explaining that it wasn't an actual cigarette. I have had no other issues despite vaping in pubs, clubs, a restaurant (I was initally sort-of stealthy but was definitely spotted by staff and fellow diners who didn't take issue) and even the local Asda/Wallmart where the checkout operator asked me about it and proclaimed she was thinking of trying them herself!
