I can't answer your question, but wanted to welcome you here. If you don't get an answer here, when you have enough posts, try the wick and wire sub forum.
I'm not familiar with this mod or tank, but if you are looking for a similar experience to the prebuilt coil, I'd recommend trying 5-6 wraps of 26g with a 1.5mm diameter (single coil). You could possibly fit a larger coil, but this would be a good starting point.

I'm using 26awg at the mo with 5 wraps spaced with 2.5 diameter but duel coil, tank gets a bit warm, think il try your idea when I empty this last fill. Also thinking of trying 28awg at some point. I can squeeze 3.0 diameter in tank but it is a sqweeze, is the 1.5 you speak of better for flavour ?
I didn't have much to go on from your original post, you are much more experienced than the typical 'new member'.
If I understand it correctly, varying the diameter is essentially the same as varying the wraps, just 'surface area' in a different direction, honestly I suggested 1.5 because in a googled pic the deck looked kind of small. In some cases I believe the diameter might be limited by 'wicking hole sizes' and other variables, it's really about finding what you like in that particular atomizer.

Welcome and glad you joined. You have a sub ohm advanced atomizer. It is built for clouds. Some folks believe that the more vapor equal more taste. I chose to pick one of the extreme ends, between max clouds and min clouds and worked up or down from there to find my happy spot. Whatever works for you is the best coil wire.

Before I got in to vaping I did a bit of research & reading & same for when I got the annikon axiom, which I got just under a week ago, been vaping since end of January. Visiting this site plus a few others & YouTube has helped gain some understanding. I did read some where that a smaller inner diameter can give better flavour something il try as I go. The axiom is a small deck & does have small wicking holes compared to the factory made coil that came with it. Thanks for the welcome & yeh you have helped. I am now on the look out for a bigger mod plus bigger rta so I can have a play & see what difference's there are.

I got the axiom thinking it was one for flavour in the sub ohm range. It's like you say I need to start at a point & work from there, so il buy a few types of wire & find what's suits me & gets best flavour. I think larger diameter coils have their merit, I think having less 'dead space' inside the atomizer in theory would give better flavor. I think the problem is attempting to predict what the (incoming and outgoing) air is going to do in any given setup, we don't really have any way of knowing. The coil and wick work hand in hand so in something like an RDA you have quite a bit more leeway, where in an RTA/RDTA (or genesis) the more efficient wicking setup would probably dictate coil diameter size over space available.
I think once you have built a few coils you'll find that actually trying coils is easier (and less time consuming) than trying to predict what will happen.
We are pretty much in the same place, I am 3 weeks smoke free, and I also did a ridiculous amount of research before diving in. Only thing different is I went RDTA (genesis).
I quickly switched to SS316l in TC mode, and will probably not go back. I'm running simple single-stranded 26g spaced 3mm 8 wrap coils in dual on a Limitless RDTA+ (45w 420 degrees DTL). I tried 28g but could not get the screws to connect with it to my satisfaction, I may try and twist it next time, or try parallel contact.
