Newby problems

I ordered the joye 510 and really like it, but I think I am allergic to the juice that came with it. Has anyone else experienced this? My mouth is red and tender. I have stopped but want to try someting else. any suggestions?

You can try some VG based juice (instead of PG).

VG=Vegetable Glycerin PG=Propylene Glycol

Does this happen with all flavors or 1 in particular. Perhaps you are allergic to one specific flavor.

This is the only one I've tried. I just ordered some from Rocky Mountain Vap but don't know what that base is. I will try the VG from Johnson Creek.

PG is in a lot of food stuffs, are you allegic to other things as well? You haven't changed anything else, have you? Meds??

I forgot to say THANK U I really don't want to give up on this. I think this is the only way I will be able to stop smoking.

I ordered it from East Mall. Some tobacco flavor it came with the starter kit of the 510. I have changed medications but it seems to ebb and flow with the smoking of the Ecig. Plus I think the med reaction would be more global, not just in my mouth. It is my guess it is the flavor. but the suggestion of changing the base sounds good to me too.

Try the process of elimination to get to the cause of your symptoms. We all are different, and some alot more sensitive. Hope you find out the cause, let us know.

yea Terr, most fluids are pg based and if you have problems you need to switch to vg

civ = cart internal vent ( the cart tube mod) - it's small tube some of us have inserted in our carts to let the air escape so more refill juice can fit into the cart...(cart= juice cartrige)

and the other question

an "sd" is a hand made device from the UK, its a battery pac that has fitting on it for the atomizer and a cart/mouth piece. it gives lots of vapor and the batts last for days with high voltage output the whole time.

Not sure if Eastmall has VG so it's likely PG. Suggest trying ECOpure from Innovapor.com. Subtle (some say too subtle) but good, imo, flavors in a non - PG base.

I haven't tried the VG but my friend that had an allergic reaction to PG switched and she has no problem now

Your welcome and thanks for reporting back. When something different happens - the question is always 'what changed right before that?' There may be many answers to that and it could be one or a combination. I'm glad you were able to isolate it.
