Now, the analog doesnt taste so great, either, but its still better than the vapour.
Im not sure whether its the difference in taste between U.S. and Canadian
tobacco flavours (Im smoking Canadian Rothmans Red and vapeing U.S. Kamel), or if I just dont happen to like the tobacco-flavoured
juice. Im not ready to give up yet, and am already thinking I should order some unflavoured cartridges.**
Regardless,
Im glad I ordered cartomizers rather than trying to fill little cartridges while Im learning this stuff.
Anyway, just wanted to post to follow up on my previous newbie angst. Thanks for listening!
Port,
Welcome aboard, everyday vaping is a good day.
I started off with Safe Cig and cartomizers. I had a ..... of a time in the beginning and didn't care for their carts. 3 flavours, tobacco, marlboro and menthol. Hummm.
My reviewThey are now my back up system
I got me a 510 and usb direct passthru, wow! lot's of flexibility. Until I got my 510 I was still smoking 5-8 cigs a day, because of what you have described. I have been "smoke free" since 10 am Monday.
Tuesday morning was the big trial for me, normally 2 cigs with my morning coffee. I hit the 510 passthru with a tobacco flavour that wasn't bad yuck, yuck. This isn't working out. The day before I dripped some RY4 on my 510 and oooooh that was nice. So I tailpiped 6-10 goos hits of RY4 at 24 mgs and got a good buzz. Yeah, that did it. I switch to 18 mg whatever for the rest of the day. I am using safe cig less and less at home, only when I go out. Did the same this morning and haven't touched an analog since.
Today I got my mixing supplies. I made a batch of menthol cigs, pretty darn close to Craven Menthols. It's posted here. I have spent the last 2 weeks reading/researching etc... apparently no one seems to have a good menthol recipe. Well not bragging (yes I am) this one is close, oh so close, cool and refreshing like menthol is supposed to taste like, not like mint, peppermint, spearmint etc... The finish is nice and long.
Canadian and American tobacco flavours are extremely different. I am using Northern vapour tobacco in my mix. I'm not sure what it is. I hope I will be able to duplicate it.
It is a learning curve no doubt, but don't be too quick to dismiss 3 part systems as being complicated, they are not. Mixing your own is also not as complicated as it seems either, and it is the cheapest way to vape, bar none.
