H everyone! I'm so new to e-cigs I haven't even started yet!I've made the mistake of doing a bit of research, and I'm now terrified of scammers and dodgy websites!Plus,I get you the feeling that you need to be a cross between an engineer and a chemist to enjoy this experience.I'm just a heavy smoker who would like a less harmful/enjoyable replacement that will stop me crawling up the wall!Any helpful advice for a newbie would be very much appreciated.

I am fortunate to have a ton of B&M stores nearby so I was able to walk in...taste flavors and try different vaporizers. That being said since then it's been hit and miss with different juices. It tastes delicious in the store...by the next day...yuck. So then I order offline. Some yuck...some delicious. I think a lot of it is personal trial and error! Good luck to you!! Trust me...it's all worth it!

Most sites are not scammers......myvaporstore, discountvapors just to name a couple.

There is a really good place that sells a great tobacco replacement juice in my opinion and its already steeped. Its has been my "go to" juice to get friends and family off of cigs. I suggest going to freedomsmokesusa and ordering a 30 ml bottle of 7 leaves. Freedom Smoke USA

Its not dirt cheap (15 bucks plus shipping), but it has an enjoyable taste for a current marlboro smoker.....its a bit light. Get it in 24 MG nic.

Be carefull of some of the dirt cheap juice stores out there..... they mix the same day and send it out and much of it needs steeping several weeks, and some of it never tastes good at all.... IMHO. With everything, there are exceptions. But to you, a current smoker, this is my suggestion. The juice is going to make or break your quitting or not. You will eventually wade into different tasting juices, but for now, you need to be in your tobbaco comfort zone.

Im a "do it yourselfer" so I dont buy from juice stores anymore..... but anyway, just my two cents.

EDIT: buy two real E Joy batteries (ego 510) and they will not let you down.... maybe an evod by kanger and some replacement heads and you are set. Get the replacement heads as low of an ohm as you can get... 1.5 or 1.8 ohms...this is for good vaping with the ego 510 battery.

Mods and rebuildables will come later..dont get caught up in all of that yet.

Welcome to the site and the community auntsally, I hope that you find your time here as fun and as enjoyable as I do.

With that said, "doing research" is NEVER a bad thing. It makes you a more informed consumer. That's a plus, not a downside.

The folks here are VERY good (and quite eager) to share their knowledge and experience in order to help others avoid some of the common "wrong turns" in their own experiences.

There are going to be (in this very thread most likely, but if not, just look around) some folks advising as to some very solid "starter kits" that can get you started and quite possibly save you from the very common "lesson learned" of starting with "cigalikes". Not that I have anything against cigalikes (well, other than their performance and comparatively high ongoing costs). "Leapfrogging" cigalikes with a solid starter kit can have you vaping well and avoid the training wheels altogether.

Again. Welcome.

we were all new once

my advice is do some LIGHT reading, find a good starting point either a cigalike if must have one or an ego style would be fine and just jump right in

vaping isn't as simple as smoking but its much more enjoyable....you CAN save money if you can resist the impulse to buy everything in sight and your health will improve exponentially as the weeks go by

we are all here to help you, if need be, PM me and i will guide you through a first purchase

good luck

I just started vaping a few weeks ago. I bought a Kanger EVOD starter kit and a few juices, it was very easy to use right out of the box!
I bought my kit from Vape Dojo:
Kanger EVOD Starter Kit - $34.99

I bought a few juices from Vape Dojo at the same time, they were good.
I've also bought juice from Good Life Vapor, they are a trustworthy vendor with great flavors.
If you are a heavy smoker, maybe try 24 mg juices.

Auntsally,
I was the same way but my friend assured me this was something worth trying. So I bought a cheap starter kit and vaped for a little while still smoking analogs. I hated it so I stopped. 6 months later I thought about giving it another try since I was looking for ways to cut spending, so I went and bought something a little better than my old battery I got an ego C Twist and a few juices that appealed to me from Vapedudes (I lean towards fruity flavors I wanted to get away from tobacco altogether.) It's been a month and a half now since I have smoked a cigarette and honestly I don't see myself going back ever!

Cigarettes were a large part of my life, and if the same is true for you, I highly recommend getting something pricier to make it worth it. It honestly makes a difference! Good luck to you!!

Her's a list of UK vendors and coupons. Maybe just get a beginners eGo kit??
http://allaboute-cigarettes.proboar...-vendors-discount-codes?page=1&scrollTo=23191

Excellent advice!

Also, check with any of the regulars in the UK forum here. They are very knowledgeable and helpful. I'm heading to Nottingham to visit in-laws in a couple of days, and I asked about shops and good online vendors in the UK forum. I got immediate and very useful advice, and the people who gave it are very nice.

With most UK vendors, I was told, next day delivery is common. You don't have to spend a lot to get a good starter kit, and you don't need any engineering skills to use it.
