Hi, been off the analogs for about a month, and I'm loving the vaping experience. I've been experimenting with different setups - I've got two 1000 mAh Ego style, a Vision Spinner 900 mAH, and an innokin VV V3.0. As far as tanks are concerned, I started with the T3S andthe ProTank 2 Mini; recently tried the T3D, ProTank 3, and Aspire K-1 BVD...

I'm now thinking about Rebuildables - I've read a lot of posts and seen a lot of products available online. It's overwhelming.

Can someone please point me to a good tutorial/overview of RBAs, and maybe suggest some equipment for someone just getting into them?

Thanks!!!

Hello and welcome to the forum. Glad to have you here!:)

You will need to think about first upgrading your battery before you get into rebuildables (unless you would like to learn how to rebuild your kanger coils). If you want better performance out of your Kanger coils I suggest you periodically clean AND dry burn them. If you are feeling adventurous, you can learn to rebuild them.

The only things you would need to do this would be Kanthal wire and an ohm reader (both available at vape shops) or a DMM to measure your build BEFORE putting it on a battery and firing it.

Hi .I absolutely love building rbas! I have about 25 of them. I highly recommend going to YouTube and looking up building the rba you choose. Example, say you buy a kayfun, go to you tube and look up building the kayfun rba. You will find several videos and different ways to build and wick the kayfun. I still do this with every new rba I get. Just to get some general ideas on how orhers build that particular unit. I will tell you five of my personal favorite rbas that are flavor monsters! In my opinion the best five flavor producers are the kayfun, the taifun, the Eleaf lemo, the expromizer, and the ruzgar. Those rbas will not disappoint! ! All giving great vapor with loads of flavor! My next five choices would be the aqua, the rose, the orchid v3, the big dripper, and the fogger v 4.1. I perfer bottom coil atomizers as opposed to top coil top wick atomizers. I think they produce much better flavor and Jane less issues with dry hits ect . Top fill or top wicking Genesis Style Atomizers IN MY Opinion Don't produce the flavor that comes from bottom coil. A very easy build to start with would be the kayfun or eleaf lemo. Both those are very user friendly and similar in build. I hope this helps and if you have any rba questions I would be more than happy to help out. Just give me a message and I'll help tyne best I can. I absolutely love building. In my house I do all the builds for my husband and myself. So I've learned a few tricks. If you need help just ask I'd be happy to help. I wish you the best.

Thanks - exactly the kind of info I was looking for...

Now to decide on what battery to upgrade to!!!

Appreciate the reply--

Points to consider for your next mod -- do you want a tube or box style? how big or small? do you want a regulated mod (with VV, VW or both) or a mech mod?
And finally - what's your budget?

Yup, more reading to do! Welcome to ECF! It's a great resource and lots of people are happy to help so feel free to ask questions. You'll get different perspectives, but that's part of the process of figuring out what's right for you.

Great info! Two follow ups - how do you feel about clones vs. authentic kayfun/eleaf? And do you have suggestions on where to pick up the hardware? Any favorite/reputable online suppliers?

Thanks again!!!

Oh, yeah, I hear that - been doing quite a bit of reading across the forums. This is my emergence from lurkerdom... :)

I'm thinking tube style - something that's not too big and gaudy, but I'm not totally sold on that. I have read a lot about the ProVaris and they appeal to me, but I'm not sure that I don't want to get something more 'powerful', since they are limited to something like 15 watts. I have also looked at the Innokin VTR as far as box mods are concerned, but there seem to be a lot of that type (box) out there that go up to 100 watts... Not sure I'm ready for something that powerful, but I don't want to buy something and then find out that it doesn't have enough 'guts' to get me what I want (whatever that is... lol)...

I've got a Kamry K1000, which is a straight mech mod, but I think I want something a little 'safer', especially if I'm going to start building my own coils. For now, I'm sticking with the K1 and PT2 on that one, with the prebuilt replacement coils.

Budget isn't really a huge issue - I'm willing to pay for quality, but I don't want to just throw away $$$ for the latest greatest thing with all the bells and whistles...

Round and round I go... :)

Thanks!

Check out the zna it's a hybrid box and tube mod if you don't want to be limited to 15 watts it's not too big (actually really small compared to what I'm used to) it goes up to 30 watts and is a lot safer than a mech mod or off your don't like that sigelei has tube mods up to 30 watts that are awesome.

Wow - quite a difference between the price (and availability) for those two... Is the DNA20/30 that much better than whatever the Sieglei runs off of?
