Has anyone heard of newhaler.com? I stumbled across the site while searching for the best price on an Ego. They have what appear to be Joye Ego kits for $35. I found them listed on another forum and they have free shipping if you enter code "free ship". That means a Joye Ego for $35 total.

Again, I am not pushing their site. I just want to know if anyone has heard of them because that price seems too good to be true. Plus, they are nowhere to be found on ECF which seems odd to me. I did a search and found nothing at all.

Anyone with info please post.

I know I am condemning myself by writing this. If the site is bogus, I don't get an Ego for $35. If the site is valid, they will now be sold out before I get back there.

I don't know if this guy is really trying to rip off Drew's site I mean really how many of these places use vapor in their name? There is a phone number on the site (848) 207-4672 i personally would give him a call and see if he sounds legit. I don't see anything on his site stating that it is a Joye product, if it a knockoff that's fine and it would explain the lower price.

There is another site that was offering an eGo kit (not joye) for $35 with a coupon code a little bit ago (out of stock now, unfortunately) so the price is not unheard of. I would absolutely call the number or email and ask questions before I bought, though. Liberty flights had that Riva sale for $30, so there's another example of a great price for a nice product.

I emailed him and got a reply back pretty quickly. Seems legit. I ordered an Ego and got a confirmation email that the package was scheduled with the USPS. The email was from Stamps.com, not from newhaler so I know it was actually scheduled. Seems legit to me.

I do not think he is trying to rip off anyone's name or reputation. Just because newhaler reminds you of Nhaler does not mean that newhaler is a copycat. With all of the domain names out there, it is hard to find anything that fits the business that you are running. I would guess that newhaler was not the first choice but the best option that was available.

So, it seems all good. I say, go get a full Ego kit for $35 while they last!

no offense but that's not a genuine ego. that is a genuine knock off, of what is a RIVA...

I have both to compare to and i've never seen an ego with a goldish/brassy band or a button like that.

def would confirm this as a Riva... I'm sure anyone who buys it will know that when they receive it. and yes, it's cheaper @ LF for the Riva using the coupon code and shipping. :p

No offense taken. Actually, thanks for the info. I am no expert when it comes to these things. One of the great things about this forum is that there are a lot of people who DO know a lot more than me who can point these things out.

Ego, Riva, Genuine or not I think it is a good price for what is included in the kit. Another thing that helped was that they were in stock when I ordered. Liberty has been out of stock for a few days now. So, while this may not be a genuine Ego, based on the pictures above I would say this is a genuine Riva (if such a thing exists) and from what I have read, the Riva is about as good as the Ego and has better battery life.

One thing I am not sure of however is the threading. I thought that the Ego had a threaded cone and the Riva had a push on cone. It appears that they both have threaded cones. Is that something that has changed on newer Rivas? I know somewhere I read about the push on cone being bad but I can't find it now.

I was lucky enough to have purchased a new Riva from LF a couple of weeks ago. It has the screw on cone. I am still pretty new and have not seen a Riva with a slip on cone. Mine in deed has the screw on type BTW when you first screw the cone on it seems pretty tight. When you get yours and the cone does not seem to want to screw on properly just back it off half a turn when it gets tight and gently continue until it seats. That was my experience with the Riva anyway. Hope yours works out for you and that you enjoy it as much as I have mine.

I have 3 Riva kits. 2, 510s and a 901 kit I just bought for $30.00. They compare equally in quality to all of my friend's genuine Joye eGos. I might add that the 901 Riva is the best one. The 901 attys that came with it rock. I'm dripping 4 drops at a time and there's been no leaking and the flavor is amazing. It's the only 3.7 V device I'm using at the present time.

I'm familiar with trademark law...

It's close enough that it could be confused for Nhaler.com.

Legally...Drew has to take action in order to protect his brand. He has no choice in that matter, if he does not, then his brand will be considered a weak trademark and it will open the door for others to do the same.

Of course...this is all assuming that Drew has a Trademark on his name.

This will most likely be settled with a letter from a lawyer (shouldn't cost Drew all that much) or even a personal email, and the Newhaler.com owner will have to change his name.

Let's not go overboard here. We're glad to have someone familiar with trademark law but at this time, the only comment about this has been from a member here who is not involved with either party. So, there is no need to get all legal about it. No one is trying to copy anyone else as far as we know.
