It was worth the wait for sure. I've not really been using mine to much because the last thing I want to do is drop it and Apollo not honor the threading problem but I have been using it here at the computer. I have not ran a 18350 battery dead yet. What signal does this give when the battery is out? Does it just not fire?

I rarely run the batts down because I have 5 or 6 vv mods going all the time, and I charge the batts every night. (just like my cell phone, for you paranoid types that won't charge a PV batt overnight but charge your cell phone every night)
Ok got that off my chest. When I do go too long on my other LT's the display blinks and the tube stops fireing at about 3.4 volts (gross estimate, I don't pay that much attention) The Mini SS tube I just got didn't blink and shut dowm until it was at less than 3 volts. That got my attention. Not sure exactly. Funny, I can be a nitpicking a hole over 5/1000's of an inch and not pay so much attention to battery discharge.

Is it just me or is the ss vtubes better than the regular ones?

I tried a dct on both regular and ss vtubes and I get a much MUCH bigger vapor production and throat hit from the ss vtube. Heck the regular vtube barely produces any vapor. I have a circuit spacer in there to just so it will fire but its weak. Does anyone else have this issue with their regular vtubes?

I know I was lucky and don't have any problems with mine but even if I did have some of the problems I think I would be ok because I really like it. It also seems like Apollo is going to make it right.

I feel bad for Apollo and the people with the problems.

I did try my first CE4 today and love them. I already had a really short 510 extension to make it fit. I see why people like them and wish they fit.
CE4, Is that another name for the Stardust, Vision eGo's? Agree with you on Apollo too. I'm trying to focus on the GOOD things about the Tube because other than the tops the thing is worth their asking price IMO.

+1. At less than $70 for the kit on a limited, unprecedented production run, we got a major steal. These things may have collector value some day, be featured on Antiques Roadshow.

I need to revisit one of my all time favorite posts.

"M402 begat a 510, which be begat a Riva, which begat a Silver Bullet, which begat a Phidias wooden bottom feeder--which begat a Classic Black Buzz something over a year ago.

The M402, 510 & Riva were all crib toys, dangling in the eyes of my vaping infancy.

The Silver Bullet was a step into adulthood, a quantum leap, but the life cycle of unregulated RCR123s--starting at a robust potency well over over 6.0V, then sagging with age into impotency--paralleled life itself. But it left me on constantly shifting sands.

The Phidias was/is a work of art, but complements only got me so far (I didn't build the thing myself, afterall). It was another unregulated, slow rundown into wimpy voltage, then none. In addition, it required that I wrap my mind around blind, reverse-gravity dripping, something I could never get; there was no spill cup, and the box was too beautiful for me to absorb the emotional damage of a juice-damaged Phidias.

My Classic Buzz begat my Classic Infinity, then my Buzz Pro, the reason for which is that all of them solved all the problems with all that went before. I use all three of them every day--each has a niche, and I expect the same out of Mike's enVVy, or eVVo, or whatever name he settles on.

P.S.: At some point in the history outlined above, I acquired a Darwin (won in a contest--I'd never have paid the $230). Technologically, it has no equal, but, like the rest of my non-NotCigs PVs, it collects dust. No spill cup, and it fits in my shirt pocket like a cinder block."

An all time classic

Regarding the regulation weakening toward the end of the battery life. I charted it here. The fresh was 4.2v fresh off the charger. The dead was at 3.5v. It does weaken before it dies. FYI.

I wonder if it will be like money, cards etc and the ones with defects, misprints and plated tops are worth the most? :2cool: lol

Well, Yall may call me crazy but I bought this thing for the cool factor and because I have a couple Vision eGo's that needed the slight extra jolt to reach their full potential. I have mainly been running mine at about 3.9V as I am use to that and wanted more the regulation. Seems I have the best of all worlds because according to your chart the SS VTube sticks in there great at my voltage(s) and there is always room to crank it up if needed.

Like wow.

You, sir, have an amazing memory. I barely recall that post myself.

It was a long time ago. About the time I bought my first Buzz. It just seemed like classic material when I read it, so I cut it and saved it. I've reposted it several times in the noob forum. Always stating "Originally posted by PoliticallyIncorrect-ECF Vet"

Edit: not so much as to give you credit, but to deflect criticism if it was thrown my way

I see.

So that's why I keep opening my front door to find a flaming brown paper bag on the stoop, which explodes s#!t when I stomp on it.
