I have been vaping for 3 months now. I am using a pro-tank and pro-tank II on a Vision spinner. Looking for advice on the next step in battery/APV technology. I like the idea of mechanical mod, but am looking to start rebuilding my own heads, so I need the ohm tester. Price is an issue, looking to keep total cost under $80. Any ideas?

i build my own coils and use a volt ohm meter i bought at walmart for 20 bucks no need to spend that kind of money. the mvp v2, why would u buy a mod u cant replace the battery is beyond me? its good for a year and then not going to hold a charge well and time to replace the whole thing. most mech mods a new battery cost 10 bucks...no brainer there!

No brainer, huh?

No one knows how long the built-in battery for the MVP will last. It hasn't been on the market a year yet. It could last 1, 2, maybe 3 years. No one knows. By that time there likely will be a fix to replace the battery, either by the owner or the factory. Even if that doesn't happen, most mods in this price range don't last past 1 - 2 years anyway before requiring replacement, so your argument is debatable at best.

If you are going to debate regulated mods vs mechanical, that's another topic altogether. Mechanical mods have no safety features. Regulated mods like the MVP do. By having the option of variable voltage and a built-in ohm meter, regulated mods offer far more versatility and useful features to someone moving up to a mod than a mechanical.

This model has been extremely popular, and for good reason. It can be used as a pass through while charging. The battery life of 2 - 3 days is incredible. The mod is durably built and will last a long time under reasonable conditions. It is comfortable to hold and is small enough to be pocket-friendly. It doesn't look like something out of a head shop, so it will not attract unwanted attention. It looks quite classy. The MVP has had few problems reported by owners.
