PS: Bonus points to the innokin iTaste MVP as it doesn't require you to buy external batteries or a charger. (Although this could also be viewed as a negative, for graduating from twists this might be the ballpark you want to get into.)

+1 As long as you don't mind the internal battery and lack of resistance meter, this is a great way to go. I've said this in other threads, but the only issue I've had with my MVP is a freakishly long battery life. It's also a very pocket friendly unit!

does every variable wattage device need an ohm meter so it can calculate the voltage to produce?

VW devices have to detect the resistance of your atomizer so they can adjust voltage in order to acheive it. In VV mode, a device will fire at whatever setting you tell it to (assuming you don't surpass the amp limit) with any topper. Basically, use Ohm's law with VV to determine the wattage you will vape at. With VW, you set it and the device will adjust automatically to whatever atty you put on it.

Ohm's law: Voltage=Current(amps) * Resistance(Ohms)
Wattage=Voltage*Current

In short, the answer to your question is:yes.

Hi, I went at looked for the 18350's at FT, the only ones I could find are trustfire, are those the ones you are recommending? Of course my usually good search skills seem to go out the window at FT. :)

No. The AW or maybe an Efest or EH. Recommend the AW stateside. Yeah, FT doesn't have a good selection of batteries really for vaping gear since our preference is IMR safe chemistry batts.
