When: Sunday, July 29th at 1pm
Where: Sun Up Brewing in the Brewers' Den (Just ask the hostess for the vaping Group when you arrive if you don't know where it is).
Location: 322 East Camelback Road, Phoenix, AZ 85012
Light Rail Stop: Camelback & Central
Parking: Lots of parking in Sun Up's parking lot.

Great food at Sun Up, please consider having lunch and a drink (or two) there so we can continue to have our meets there for free! The kettle chips and chipotle ketchup are out of this world and they make a mean pile of nachos! More info about Sun Up is available on their Website!

Local suppliers are often in attendance so you can buy liquids, atomizers/cartos, drip tips, mods, etc. If you have something to sell or trade, bring it along! If you DIY and have a juice you're proud of, bring some and let folks try it!

Raffle News - We will have our usual raffle drawings (please consider bringing something to donate for our drawings, vaping-related or not!) and as always, we'll have our 50/50 cash pot drawings from the money brought in from raffle ticket sales. In the raffle this month we will have a very nice promo kit from Bedford Slims that includes two complete e-cigs and 3 packs of refills and a t-shirt, plus some other goodies. Our local suppliers often donate something great as well.

Party News - Last meet, we opened up the conversation on what we should do for our annual party, and this month we should get that locked down and set wheels into motion. So far we have suggestions for tubing the Salt river, renting out a theater at the local Fork and Screen/CinemaSuites and watch a movie while openly vaping, and partying at Uptown Alley in Surprise, where they have bowling, Laser Tag, pool, and video games. Great ideas all but we need to hear more and then decide on one! Please use this thread to spitball suggestions and talk it out and we'll choose at the meet after some last-minute discussion.

Spread The Word - If you know vapers that aren't part of the ECF, invite 'em! Know any smokers looking for alternatives? Bring 'em along! The more the merrier!

Social Schedule - Here's our meet schedule for the rest of the year, which will be amended slightly once we settle on the party and get it scheduled. It will replace the meet for the month.
- Sunday, August 19, 1pm
- Sunday, September 23, 1pm
- Sunday, October 28, 1pm
- Saturday, November 17, 1pm
- Sunday, December 16, 1pm

Have any questions? Shoot me a PM here or hit Sunny up on the VIP Face Book page (Phoenix Vapers) at https://www.facebook.com/groups/phoenix.vapors/. Feel free to RSVP in this thread or on Facebook, and we hope to see you all there!

I may have to stop in and check it out.

Please do! The more the merrier!

Hey folks, we're gonna have to reschedule the August meet, SunUp's having an anniversary party that day and the Brewer's Den will be unavailable. I'll update the calendar later today once we've got a new date worked out.

SO - speaking of anniversary parties, any more suggestions on what we should do for ours?

Welp, another meet down and another excellent time had by all!

Great turnout this month with some new faces and some old friends!

Plenty of cool gear, too, there were some great mods spotted around the room:

Liz was vaping this monster mod that takes 2x26650's (that's like 7000mah!), has variable voltage,
displays both volts and ohms, and no longer steers a remote-controlled car

Gary brought this space-station-looking Esco E2 that he won recently

blazeandminis.jpg

Pietro brought Blaze, his stabilized VV REO Woodvil, and Blaze's posse of 2 black and silver REO Minis

There was some great stuff on the raffle table this month including a 5-flavor sampler from Apollo
E-Cigs, a 510 starter kit from My PV Shop and a pair of Bottle Buddy cases.

The big prize this month was donated to us by Bedford Slims, a stylish e-cig company in Brooklyn
that was recently featured on XO Jane. The prize is a promo pack with 2 complete vapourettes,
3 boxes of prefilled cartos of various flavors (including a Dark Roast coffee with gingko biloba
and caffeine in it!), a USB charger, sticker, and a snazzy mustachioed t-shirt.

Very, very cool. RAFFLE TIME!
raf-angie.jpg

The raffle brought in 175 bucks, so the first half was won by Angie...
raf-dave.jpg

...and the second half was won by me. YES!

raf-doug.jpg

Doug won a box of Boge 3ohm cartos donated by Brian

raf-jonas.jpg

Jonas won both Bottle Buddies in separate draws - destiny wants you to carry more bottles, dude!

raf-sunny.jpg

Sunny (behind the camera) won an Apollo sampler

raf-liz.jpg

Liz won the My PV Shop starter kit donated by Sunny

raf-pietro.jpg

Pietro pulled in the 3-pack of Pink Spot juices also donated by Brian

raf-brenna.jpg

And Brenna hit the score of the day, the Bedford Slims package! Congrats to all the winners, and
thanks to everyone who contributed to the raffle!

carto1.jpg

After the raffle, Gary showed us how to make carto tanks out of freebie syringes

carto2.jpg

You use an old carto and hammer to die-cut out the center of syringe stoppers to make the endcaps

carto3.jpg

VOILA! Carto tank!

Thanks to everyone who came to the meet, it was a blast! Thanks also to everyone who donated items to the raffle, and extra special thanks to Bedford Slims for their outstanding prize package! Hope to see you all next month!
