ngp touch taste lingering

I recently picked up a ngp touch out of the classified section. Was pretty stoked to pick up a hybrid setup for a more solid device overall. Unwrapped it and made a good mesh wick and nice low res coil. first try up and running perfectly. filled tank and EVERY vape tastes like a cheap cigar. a REALLY cheap cigar. Now the npg tank and caps are plastic so I don't want to use anything caustic like coke or anything that could sink in and ruin the device. anybody else ever had this problem? I really like the setup but I simply cannot vape this thing. It literally makes me want to puke.

try soaking it in very hot distilled water (not boiling, you should be able to keep your finger in for 3 seconds, but not much longer) , this stuff is like molecular velcro, it loves to grab hold of any impurity it can get to. As a last resort I'd add some baking soda to the water.

Alright I'll give it a try tonight when I get a chance. Hopefully it works cause I really do like the setup.
