Maybe it will enable double the wattage! ;)

Seriously, though. I know the kick is designed to work with metal tube mods. Does anyone know of some mods that the kick will NOT work with? What exactly is the requirement to work with the kick? I don suppose there is a list or spreadsheet since it is such a new product and there are so many mods.

Some mods seem to take higher voltages while regulating and boosting at the same time.

 What mods do this? Not saying there aren't any out there, but I personally haven't seen one that does both buck and boost, so I'm curious

With a little modification I'm sure you could get it to work in just about anything. From what I've seen, the Kick has three contact points: one for the Vin from the battery, Vout from the module to the atty and the grounding spring on the side. As long as you rigged up something that could make connection from the grounding spring to your negative current path it should work :) I think I remember hearing some scuttlebutt that a couple of the beta models were used successfully in box mods

Yes I saw that on a video somewhere, someone using their Phildas Woody with the Kick.

I'm looking to rig one up in a reo grande. It may take a little bit of doing, but I'm sure it'll happen for me.

Just remove the anodizing where the ground spring/clip/thingie of The Kick makes contact with the inside of the Grand. That should be all you need to do. If you happen to have a tumbled raw Grand, plug 'n play. :)

Or it could be kept simple with no sanding/grinding necessary on the Grand. Just add an insulated wire onto the Kick ground spring and run to the negative terminal, the same as a wood or non-conductive mod basically.

I don't see how that is any more simple than my suggestion. I assume some soldering will be involved and you made no mention of how you would attach the wire to The Kick. I doubt you'd want to solder that. There are no wires inside my Grand and I like it that way. There are plenty of dings on the outside, so a little spot of bare metal on the inside won't phase me.

I am going the same route. I just sand an area of the Grand down that lines up withthe ground from the Kick..simple. MY outside is all beat up so I dont really care.

Running it in box mods hasn't been a focus of our testing, but just saying from limited experience (had to try it) that the Kick spring tends to shift during use in the Grand, creating a sporadic ground. I think it's from the combination of the switch physically pushing down directly on the Kick and nothing really holding it steady, aside from spring pressure of the mod.
I wrapped a wire through the spring coils of the Kick to the Grand's spring mount. However that may be tougher on future revisions if the spring design changes.

Questions:

Exactly what batteries will the Kick work with? Is it more about the space needed for the device or actual specific battery types?
Is a 14250 too small? even if there is room in the compartment to fit the Kick?
What are the dimensions of the Kick?

I have a couple mods id love to try it out in, but i am just unclear.

One is my HV C Squared Epipemods PipeePipeMods Hand Crafted Single Battery Electronic Pipes...will it work? Will i have to modify it because it is wooden?

I think I remember someone saying it was just over 17mm long. Evolv recommends only using IMR batterys.
