Hey guys. I got some NHaler cartomizers to go with my Vapor King battery, and there is NO air flow at all between these. Anybody else have this problem?

I've tried 2 different carts on 2 different batteries, and nothing. I can feel that atty getting hot inside, but there's just no air flow so I can't get any vapor....

Help!

edit - just for reference, V4L cartomizers work fine.

Got a Dremel? It's really, really easy to slot either the carto or the battery.

Yes it is, nothing to it with one of those handy dremels. I'd do the battery because you only have to do it once instead of for every cart.

Of course if you slip with the dremel it could be bye bye battery...8-o

I agree.. and by doing it on the battery you run less of a risk of getting aluminum dust in your lungs!

I would use a small cutoff wheel if you have one, and just slot the center pole on the battery, and not very deep. Easier to go deeper on your second pass if you have to!

Old machinists have a saying "I cut it twice and it's still too short...".

I have a question!! So...could you take any 901 battery and cut a slot in it with a dremel and have the air flow for the cartomizers???????

You need to drill a small hole in the 901 battery at the base of the threads for air flow. If your carts have a slot then you're good. If not then yeah, you have to cut one on the battery.

ohhhh.. I have an extra 901 battery laying around..I am going to go ask hubby to make notch.. will reply back with results!

Woah! The 901 battery will require both the notch, and the cross drill holes (as mentioned). The 901 battery has no venting mechanism at all since the vent hole is in the side of the 901 atty.

KR808D-1 batteries on the other hand will work with 901 attys. But you might get a bit too much air flow.

The notch is only required if the cartomizer doesn't have one. I have several 901 batts with a single 1/16" hole drilled in at the base of the threads that work just fine on most kr808 cartos.

I'm guessing that all of the new kr808 cartos will have a slot because the factory is making the manual batteries without a slot, and you have to have a slot on one of them. That doesn't mean your next order will have slotted carts though my last one did.

Annoying isn't it? ;-)
