hehehe, nice to see I am not the only one who has done this, more than once too!! I got quite the nicotine rush from ingesting it, tasted gross, made my mouth tingle and I didn't feel so hot but imagine it would be about the same as smoking a few too many cigs in a row. Takes some time to work out all of the kinks, its not as easy as just picking one up and puffing away unfortunately, for me anyways it has been quite the learning curve, and all I have to say is thank god for all of the info on this site!!!

What smbray said ^

I wouldn't sweat it unless your talking whole mls of juice ingested or absorbed through skin. I did research lethal doses of nicotine when I first started vaping and was worried about overdosing. I did not find much info but I did find an old medical website that noted 30mg dose of nic could be lethal to a human adult. I do not know if thats an oral / iv/ trans dermal dose though. Absorption rates will vary dramatically depending on how the nicotine is delivered.

Sorry I couldn't be more accurate in my answer but this is just what I came up with while doing my own research.

Thanks guys for the responses...

And I read somewhere people refill while driving?? How in the world hey do that?

Yeah agree this is some annoyance, I mean, its not as convenient as ciggie u just pick it up and smoke, and I don't dare to refill anywhere where there is no means for washing hands. I have pets too and I hate to have them lick on the juice I get on them.

30 mg is a good estimate for an average person. We don't really know because the estimates are extrapolated from animal studies and in those pure nicotine is injected into the bloodstream. Apparently scientist think it is unethical to give lethal doses to people and it is difficult to get volunteers.
You are getting it in a diluted form and it takes time for it to be absorbed through your skin. While it i s being absorbed it is also being metabolized by your body. So I wouldn't worry about the small amounts you would normally spill on yourself. Just take reasonable precautions and wash it off.

There is a lot of information on this board about nicotine. Try doing a search.

You're using regular cartomizers? Did you "fill them" from the threaded (metal) end? Take the carto off of the battery, get a paper towel, and blow into the mouth piece while holding the paper towel to the threaded end. You'll learn how not to overfill. I did---eventually. (But I still keep lots of paper towels handy!)

Hey, I have tasted a couple juices. I figured, if it's going into my system, then I want to make sure it doesn't kill me. DO NOT TASTE JUICES!!! That was a newbie thing and I have learned better. Taste and feel like you swallowed some dip juice (I know that's disgusting) but it happened while in military years ago. A taste that if you have, sucks, and if you haven't, don't...cause it sucks!

I have the eGo XL Cartomizer. And yes i filled the juice into the threaded end.

Sorry heres a stupid question, why blow from the mouthpiece end, if i blow, there will always be juice coming out from the threaded end, no? So how will i know i am not blowing out all the juice?

Because it is the juice inside of the little tube that runs through the carto that is a problem. The stuff that you vape is in the fill.

Anyone ever got it in/around their eyes ? How was it ?

I might just be being paranoid but my eyes are real itchy and one has a bit of a twitch in the eyelid. I was experimenting earlier and got a fair bit of juice on my fingers - didn't wash it off, silly me. Mainly because on the first day I managed to suck hard enough to get a mouthful and it didn't harm at all.

Going to be more careful in future.
