Hi, I've been vaping for about 2 months now and I've gotten sick and tired of buying 10ml/12mg liquids and I've decided to buy larger 50ml/0mg liquids and add my own shots to bump up to 6mg.(I'm happy vaping at 12mg at the moment and I'll slowly cut down in time)

Here's my confusion, from online calculators I've worked out I should add 15ml of my 20mg 2.0% vg based shots to get my 50ml liquid to 6mg but I'm unsure on what the 2% means and is there places I can get a higher %?

Does this dilute the taste down? And when I've brought the 10ml/12mg liquid the colour of the liquid is a brown colour and when I mix my own its clear? Am I using the wrong nic shots?

Help.

You can calculate it on you own given the quantity you are mixing.

If you have 50 ML bottles and want that to be 6mg/ml. 50ml times 6 mg/ml = 300 total mg nicotine in 50 ml. It takes 15 mg of 20mg/ml nicotine (15 ml times 20 mg) to get 300mg of nicotine. So 50 ml of 6mg would be 15 ml of the 20mg and 35 ml of the 0mg.

Yes mixing unflavored nicotine base with flavored 0mg juice will dilute the flavor.

You can buy nicotine base in several different strengths. Some people use 24mg, 48mg or 100 mg base. You would still calculate the total the same way. 100 mg base times 3 ml = 300 mg total so if the base was 100mg nic, you would use 3 mg of the 100mg base and 47 mg 0mg to get 6 MG of 50 ml

Hi and welcome,
Nic shots are limited to 10ml of 20mg/ml (.02%) nicotine.
Once you mix everything and let it age, it should take on the golden colour you are used to seeing.
Most doublers are over flavoured to allow for the addition of a PG/VG containing nicotine.
How many ml of liquid are in the 0mg/ml bottle?
What is the volume of the bottle? (the doubler)

cheers

You will need a bigger bottle.
It will take 2 plus nic shot bottles (~21.5 ml) to increase your strength to 6mg/ml.

I'm a bit confused, can you not buy 50ml bottles of e-liquid with nicotine already added?
NOPE...
TPD sez:
Max bottle size 10ml
Max nicotine strength 20mg/ml.
PERIOD.

ETA: Stock up, I'm afraid certain the FDA will do the same in 2022

thanks for all your help, i know this new law and stuff but surely there's a place i can find stronger nic shots ? don't really fancy diluting my eliquid down with 50ml to make to 10mg !

Yes the maximal amount for 10ml = 20mg/ml Nicotine.
The are PG based or VG Based (%)
20PG / 80VG - Somehow Ok
40PG / 60VG - Ok
50PG / 50VG - Good
100PG -
100VG - :nah:

You must add PG/VG Ratio to the calculation of Juice.
That you get a good Mix.

You can buy Stronger Nicotine
also 100mg/ml (don't know if they ship)
48mg/ml (This you can get)
48mg E-Liquid Nicotine
