Pat, I don't do rebuilding of coils myself either since as I sort of alluded to in a previous message, I really don't have the time or money or space to take on a new project. Instead, I like that with all of the Kanger toppers I use (Protank I and II, EVOD, and now the new Protank Mini and Mini II), I can buy replacement heads (with the coils already pre-made), remove the old, worn out head, screw the new head into the base, and voila, back to new. At just over a dollar a pop for the replacement heads, it's worth it to me to just do it that way. So the term rebuilding, as used in this forum, isn't the same as simply replacing the coil heads. While the former refers to actually making the new coil head yourself, the former is simply screwing out the old coil head and putting in the replacement.

BTW, all of the above mentioned Kanger toppers are all bottom coil, which simply means that the coil is at the bottom of the device just like it is in your ripped out v2 carto. The alternate is called a vertical coil and when you look inside those, you'll see that the heating coil runs the length of the cartomizer, up and down the filling material if you will. So don't be afraid of the term bottom coil as it simply refers to where the atomizer itself, i.e. the coil part, is located in relation to where you put the e-liquid. See? Easy Peasy! :p

Hey this helps!
I'm going to watch some videos.
I got scared off, LOL!

TEXAS
GRAVITY: 12mg, 65/35 PG/VG

I have no idea what the description is on this juice which is good for a review IMO.
Equipment:
Vamo V2 VV/VW
Phoenix V4 RDA
New 1.3 ohm, 10/9 wrap of 28ga kanthal, micro coil, cotton wick

I'm getting a Sweet Tart candy or maybe a Smartie candy. The flavor holds up well in the 7.5 - 9 watt range, beyond that it starts to taste like a children's chewable aspirin. Vapor is a little light but I would expect that with a 65/35 ratio. Nice little TH with it. This joose is as clear as a liquid ejuice as I've seen, slight bluish tint. A wick and coil should last forever with this clear ejuice.

Hard to keep up with all the chatter here isn't it. If you miss a cpl of days , it takes forever to catch up.

I love your avatar Flavored. My mom just sent me this huge Sugar Daddy, I think it was a 3 lb sucker. lol
I broke it into pieces and stuck it in the fridge so I can nosh on it. I love Sugar Daddys!

Subscribed when I saw this thread created, thought "I'll get to it tomorrow." Email inbox flooded . . . this is a good place.

Meanwhile, 50ml bottles of the pre-steeped ordered and filled for CB and CLS. Pretty sure I'd be addicted sans nicotine. Gonna see how long those bottles last as my official ADV's. Thanks for a great product.

Man, you guys sure were chatty today!! I'm still not finished catching up on this thread and I may not get to tonight as it's 5:30 am here and I wanted to at least reply on some of it before I crash! (Fortunately it looks like maybe the count is slowing down and it's hit a lull so perhaps I'll be able to catch up from my tablet in bed as I drift off.) But sorry I haven't been able to get in here at a more reasonable hour the last few nights. Busy life and all! ;)

Ahlusion's Gold Member. I have their Car-Mal Mambo and haven't tried the Gold Member yet as it's fairly new, but I've heard lots of good things about it on the Ahlusion thread. Note that it's got a malty note to it too which may or may not float your boat....

LOL I was thinking the exact same thing! But I was away the whole day, I think it was closer to 40 pages (which is why I'm still not caught up yet

BTW thanks for the video. I saved it even though I'm not yet at the point of building my own coils. I might like to venture down that road some day, but for right now, I haven't had time or inclination since I've already got my hands full with all kinds of other hobbies and tech stuff, plus DIY projects for dance costumes and jewelry. I'm lucky I have enough space to store all my juices what with all the tech gadgets I'm always pulling apart, rooting, etc. and my dance costumes now have their own room too!

*giggle* Like everyone else, I thought you did that on purpose to demonstrate how to defy Gravity, those bottles hanging from the ceiling and all. :laugh

That's awesome Pat!! I too used that very same method for my very first dripping atty as well. (I have a couple of Stingrays and EmpireMod dripping attys now since I do a lot more dripping than just flavor testing, but it's definitely a great place to start if you don't plan to do it all the time. And how fantastic is that that you figured it out yourself!! I had to use this youtube video for my first one. :)

And I'm glad you decided to listen to Cactus and me and check out Nicoticket. I'm a big fan of vanilla and caramel myself. Had always thought of Halo's Tribeca as my favorite RY4, but more recently, I'm digging MEL's (Mister-E-Liquid) RY4 and Grey Matter even more. Both my mom and sister agree and we'll be ordering more from them again shortly. They have several other great flavors that aren't yet in Clark's arsenal. (I don't think I'm a one vendor kinda girl anyway as awesome as Nicoticket is... I'm happy to have a good top 5 or so that I will order from regularly. Besides Nicoticket, that also includes Ahlusion (A+) and Alice in Vapeland (AiV), and probably MEL now too.)

Sadly I have not ordered from MBV in awhile and they have lost their top spot. Though I still have a few flavors from them I really enjoy (Butterscotch, Hawk Sauce, and to a lesser extent Cinnamon Roll & Sticky Bun) I was never happy with any of their fruit flavors outside of Hawk Sauce as they all tasted artificial to me. Hawk Sauce to me tastes like sweet tarts so since I perceive it as a candy vape, I'm not too hung up on the fact that it doesn't taste like real fruit.

Oh and on the APV front, I'm not sure of the price on the Tesla, but you may want to just consider a Vamo as your next step up from the eGo batteries. Are you already using variable voltage, i.e. twists, spinners? The Vamo can be picked up real cheap at Fasttech, only about $37 I honestly think it'd be a better, more cost effective option for your first mod instead of the more expensive Tesla. (No offense 7sixtwo.) The battery only can be had for as little as $32, but since this would be your first mod, you'd be better served with the Nitecore kit which includes 2 18650 batteries and a Nitecore charger. https://www.fasttech.com/products/1411/10004394/1380305

FYI, I've included a few Djarum Blacks in the package I have going out to Clark tomorrow since he said he'd need to taste the real thing in order to work on an e-liquid based on it. No inhaling, right Clark? ;)

Clark, I'll send you the DC # in a PM. It's going via First Class, but when you use electronic shipping software like Endicia or Stamps.com (I use Endicia), DC is free on First Class as well as Priority. I believe it costs 90 cents otherwise if you're not using shipping software, plus you also get the commercial base rate on priority and International packages which is cheaper than what you pay if you walk into the post office. I've been using it for 10 years or more as I used to send tons of books through the mail.

Megan, I found you on Facebook and sending you a facebook and sending you a friend request. I've had some stuff from Black Phoenix myself. My friend Kim from NY loves that stuff and introduced me to it. I still have lots of essentials here that I mix up myself to make my own scents, but still buy retail from time to time too. I'm currently seeking to replace Steambath Factory as they no longer make the all-natural hemp body lotion I used to love in their delicious scents. Do you know off the top of your head if BPAL has something similar? I recall their web site being really hard to find anything...

Back to reading.... think I'm gonna take y'all to bed with me though so if I fall asleep on ya, at least you'll know it was good for me too! :p

I'd second the Vamo kit from FastTech with the Nicore Charger - tough to beat that deal on Fasttech for the price and value it delivers...

Do I have to reset my counter if I burn one in the name of science? :)

Okay well I'll be wanting somma dat cuz I've discovered that this new Creme Brulee is the shiz!!!!!

Sooooooooo much better than the lighter caramel, and a much more authentic Crème Brûlée flavor with this new caramel. (The other (while still tasty) reminded me more of a Creme Caramel--custard with liquid caramel drizzled over it--while this new caramel totally captures the crispy caramel topping.

I definitely see a 30 or 50 ml of this in my future!

On the H1N1 front, mine is still in the Snickers phase. It's still pretty tasty as is but I'm waiting anxiously to see what the first flavor morph is gonna be. Perhaps I'm starting to taste a little bit of that "not cinnamon" coming through? I can't see the date on my bottle since that was ruined by the leak but assuming it's the same as the others in that order, it was bottled on 8/9.

GCD is pretty tasty as well and is tasting a lot like GLV's Deadly Sin to me right now, which is also a very yummy vape in it's own right, and one of the only ones I've had from GLV that I'd planned to reorder. However, if GCD can hit all the same notes for me, despite the fact that it's not a tobacco like Deadly Sin, then I'll happily choose my Danish in the Nicoticket form over GLV. :)

You've peaked my interest in Deadly Sin. I may pick that up. Gotalot got me hooked on melon boba - ........ ;)
