Just got my first temp controlled device. Evic vt mini. Siting here as a Redskins fan wishing somehow both the Cowboys and Giants could lose tonight while enjoying some virus in a subtank mini. Nickel 0.17 ohm spaced 10 wrap coil running at 390/20 watts wicked with some KJD.

Have to say. This just takes the vaping experience to a whole new level. Flavor is prefect every time. Ran my first tank bone dry. Never a dry hit. Filled it back up and rockin and rollin.

So happy to have my stockpile of nicoticket to run through and enjoy all the flavors all over again.

I've been using one of those IPV3 Li-s that we have now, but I have yet to do the temp control. Just switching from an unregulated mech mod to a regulated box mod made a world of difference in the quality of my vape. Would you say that the temp control function is worth using? I don't have any experience working with nickel wire, but I'm assuming it's just as easy to build with as kanthal, or am I wrong in assuming so?

I have to say I was really worried about it. People talking about poor connections and how soft an brittle nickel is. It's definitely softer. And people say it gets temperamental if the wraps touch. So I did a ten wrap spaced coil. Which took up the whole rda deck in the subtank. Was super careful when wicking not to mess up the coil and made sure the leads were nice and snug. No issues first try and the vape has been awesome.

I mean I literally vaped the first tank so dry that no more vapor was being produced. Not a single dry hit. That makes it all worth it to me. Then add in that you can dial in the temp you want and it will never go above that. Pretty cool tech.

Now my second build I'm sure will go horribly wrong and I will hate nickel like everyone else. Haha.

HA! Duly noted. I might take a look at it soon. I've been interested, just not enough to try it out yet. I might have to update my mod firmware and give the titanium coils a try too, and see if that's better than nickel.

Anyway, I'm glad that you are re-enjoying all your favorite Nicoticket juices!

How are you wrapping that coil bro - on a screw, or just eyeballing it?

28 g around my second largest mini screwdriver. I can't remember the size. Largest one is 3mm I remember that. So slightly smaller. Space it out then pinch. Then tinker then pinch until they are a close together as I can get them without touching.

Yep, titanium is definitely the way to go... until next week when another new "best thing ever" comes out!

My sweet spot is a barely spaced 8 wraps of 24 gauge at 3mm on a Kayfun 4 with the sub-ohm pin on my SX Mini. .25 ohms, 20 joules at 350 degrees. Strawnilla's never tasted better!
