Hello. First post here...looking for some advise. I've been using a Nautilus Mini on an Aspire CFVV+ battery for a while now. I keep the battery at 4.2V and the airflow on the 2nd largest setting, and I vape 18mg of nicotine. I ordered an Eleaf istick 30w this weekend, mostly for the convenience of the longer-lasting battery and the variable wattage. While researching the istick, I came across the Melo sub ohm tank. It had decent reviews, and I figured for $20 I might as well try a sub ohm tank (it uses 0.5 ohm coils similar to the Aspire Atlantis). I've read that you should use a lower nicotine level with a sub ohm coil. I do mostly mouth-to-lung hits (I can do throat hits with my current setup, but I find it harsh). I'm not looking for huge clouds, just a nice flavorful vape. My question is, what nicotine level should I use for mouth-to-lung hits on the Melo that will be comparable to 18mg on my current setup. I mix my own juice, so I can make any nicotine level I want (not just stuck to common vape store levels). I was going to mix up some 18mg for my Nautilus tomorrow, so I can make some lower nicotine juice for the Melo at the same time.

I was vaping at 24 mgs on a dual coil vv spinner and with the Istick and Melo tank I vape at 12mgs on it and it's great. It will be trial and error with getting the wattage and whatnot to your liking, but personally I love the same equipment you're about to get and have been able to step down my mgs. Also if your local vape shop doesn't carry the Melo coils, the aspire sub ohms will fit the Melo and rewicking is very easy. Just check out a YouTube video on rewicking the aspire sub ohm coils.

An update now that I've been using the istick and Melo tank for a few days. I'm loving both. BigEgo was right, the Melo is not a tank for mouth hits, but I am enjoying the lung hits much more than I did previously with my Nautilus tank. It's very smooth. Not harsh at all. I use my Nautilus tank on the istick when I leave the house so that I'm not fogging out the rest of the world, and it works great as well. I mixed my juice at 12mg for both tanks, and I like it. Not too strong on the Melo, and not too weak on the Nautilus.
