I have read somewhere a while ago. That BTC add ammonia to cigarettes because it helps the body to absorb the nicotine better. I can believe this. the difference between vaping/patch versus smoking is night and day. no matter what you still want an analog when you are on the patch. I was vaping 24mg. strength for the past month. I just made a batch at 18mg. strength and will see how it goes. I am going through a divorce so my stress levels are very high right now and may affect what i need. But life is full of stress anyway.

I have to echo what most are saying here. It is difficult if not impossible to correlate between what you used to smoke and what you will end up vaping.

The best course to take is to purchase several different strengths and try each one until you reach your comfort zone.

I recommend trying some in the 10-12mg range, some in the 16-18mg range and some in the 22-24mg range. One of those will most likely be perfect for you. At least you can establish a reference point that way.

I smoked 2 pad light cigarettes for many years. They were 11mg of nicotine. I have settled in with 16-18mg e-liquids.

Hi - Check this link - see pg 10. If you noke 16mg - "high" - strength juice, you only get one fifth (20%) the nicotine per drag on a vaporette as you get from a tar-stick. Jibes pretty well with my fairly long experience with these lifesavers. The thing is in my mouth probably 97% of my waking hours - lol. Of course, I used to smoke like a freaken paper mill, so if figures...

This theory of nic mg measurement does support one idea... vendors say that one cart is = to one pack of cigs. Now if one cart holds one ml of juice and that juices was about 18mg to 20mg juice it would have the same amount of nic as a pack of cigs. Do you see my point? The nic mg level in that one ml of juice in the cart would hold about the same amount of nic as a full pack of full flav smokes. I know I have heard this from vendors and so have alot of other people. Its just hard to believe because its so easy to vape 1ml of juice compared to smoking one pack of smoke.
Yes, I believe this is where they came up with the bogus comparison.

The problem is we are probably absorbing anywhere from 10% to 40% of the nicotine in the vapor.
The Health New Zealand study said 10% but many felt there were flaws with that study.

Tests done by various people on these forums have indicated some people may be getting as much as 40% absorption.

There's a mathematical equation to anything. :) I just have to remember how to calculate volumes and do a drip test. How many drops I can get out of a 30ML bottle based on a 18MG nic level. Wasn't sure if anyone has crunched these numbers before.
All bottles produce different sized drops.
And the viscosity of the juice you are using also affects drop size.
