I think it could work. You would be satisfying your nicotine craving, and the hand to mouth motion of smoking. I know I dropped my nicotine levels really fast it seems to me it was more of the "smoking" action I was addicted to especially during certain activities driving, watching TV, and on the PC. I am fairly sure this is why the patches or other methods never had much success, well that and I hate gum. :)

Since our country is so ....... has anyone tried Nicotine patches and vaping on 0 MG nicotine juice? I know it sounds desperate right?

I tried patches, hypnosis, you name it; I failed to shake cigarettes. I do have a "0" nicotine 100% VG bottle that I use periodically. For me, the absence of hand motions seems more troublesome than the absence of nicotine. I miss fooling with stuff and, so, vaping has kept me off cigs for about eight months.

You are faster than I on the keyboard and I agree completely.

It would work if they work for you ?
They don't stick to me so it would be a exorcise in frustration .
Best wishes

Not trying to be mean or rude but how is it that they dont stick to you? All the patches I have used have had very strong adhesive. Are you very hairy? Or sweaty? Just curious.

I really really would not want to HAVE to resort to nicotine patches because the adhesive gives me a rash to start with LOL but new quitters need every trick in the book. I am still ordering nicotine e liquids over seas and I will continue to do so until I get in trouble, but I just wondering if I HAD to admit defeat and no longer had any nicotine juice, would it be worth trying other NRT's and still vape. I guess next question is does 0MG nicotine ever have a throat hit ?

Haven't tried with patches but I experimented with 0mg.... and accompanied vape with an espresso cup. As long as the liquid gives you some throat hit, you can get the buzz from the caffeine, and the overall experience is very enjoyable. Also caffeine is not as adictive as nicotine so if you successfully switch you can get rid of cravings.

I guess they won't ban caffeine during my lifetime.

If they jack your shipment you can always change suppliers till they catch on to that one. RTS is a very descreet package.

Man can't believe they are that controlling. I've always want to go to austrailia, something about it I really like. :)

@caramel

What brands? there's only a thousand.

the new laws only came into play 1st of Jan 2015 it is now illegal to possess nicotine in my state in Australia. It is also illegal to vape anywhere where smoking is not allowed. So basically people who are trying to quit have to vape next to smokers, and not allowed nicoting juice in their ecigs. So we should all just take up smoking again so the govt gets their tobacco taxes and no furthers studies need to be made?

Well in Australia even the wildlife had to grew pockets - to hide their stuff from govt. :laugh:

I tried only canadian:

Dashvapes Raffael - coconut flavour, strong TH (has a slight parsley aftertaste, there are surely some better ones)

Flavour Crafters - the tobaccos have good TH, check the "du maurier", DK etc;

my heart goes out to you.

for me when i quit it was more of the throat hit and actions of smoking that got me to quit. you can try vaping higher %PG eliquids for the throat hit that smoking gives. if that doesnt work you can try those 'snus' type tobaco alternatives that come in the pouches, although i believe those are bad as well but not as bad as inhaling smoke. I weened myself off cigarettes when i was vaping by using those snus tobacco alternatives while vaping sometimes if i ever craved a smoke, then dropped them and the cigarettes altogether.

Beware - I tried Nicoderm patches, the only thing I'm allergic to is penicillin. I bought the patches on my lunch break at work... I have a inside sales job, in my office banging the phones all day. I cut the patch into quarters to try and ease into the feeling of getting my nicotine through a patch... Well all of the sudden my right arm (the patch was on my right shoulder)started getting REALLY red. I get flushed sometimes so I didn't think much of it... But then I started getting a pain in all of my joints on my right arm only! I experienced with drugs when I was in high school, so I thought maybe this was me getting used to the patch since it was my first time... The pain in every joint was worrisome, I mean it hurt in every single joint, every finger, every knuckle, my elbow, my arm pit, etc.

I tore the patch off, and threw it away. All of the sudden the red spot on my shoulder where the patch was started to get itchy... Then I was hit with the craziest hot flashes I've ever had, I was dumping sweat... then I started getting dizzy, like SUPER DIZZY. Dizzy enough to where it felt like I just got off an extreme roller coaster that just goes in circles.... I stood up tried to pace around my office but ate .....! lol I feel right into my desk... the feeling eventually passed, about 5 full minutes of hanging on the edge of puking into my trash can.. I didn't throw up, but I was on the cusp of it....

I went back to walgreens, bought the lowest strength nicoderm patches they had - they weren't zero nicotine, it was the very next level up. I took a patch out and but it into quarters again..

same thing happened...

I asked my doctor about it and he was baffled. He could only surmise that I must have had some allergic reaction to the adhesive, but the reported cases of nicoderm adhesive reactions is very small.

Like I mentioned previously, I've done my fair share of black-out drinking nights, experimenting with drugs when I was younger, but nothing compared to this wave of sickness. This was worse than any trip I'd ever experienced.

So please start with a smaller dose, or better yet - ask your doctor wheat brand/dose her recommends you start with. For me vaping helped me CUT DOWN my cigarette intake, and then finally quitting altogether. Good luck!

This section of the forum may be of interest to you. There is still some nicotine that comes through when you make your own extracted tobacco flavor. It is minimal. If you are able to get tobacco from cigars, for pipes..it may be worth checking out.

Lord, it would help if I added the link :facepalm: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/liquid-extraction-tobacco/

Wow that is a severe reaction! I always have an allergic reaction to the patches it is a
Severe red rash from the adhesive, but I also get the same the reaction from other surgical wound adhesives. It's not the nicotine it is whatever they use to stick the patch.
