One self proclaimed health site on the web seems to have decided to promote the "nicotine causes cancer" BS in a different way. I wonder if the BP funded ANTZ saw this coming...

I believe this might be the referenced study-

PLOS ONE: Characterizing the Genetic Basis for Nicotine Induced Cancer Development: A Transcriptome Sequencing Study

I left this comment-

Did you possibly consider putting a link to this "ground breaking" "new" study? The closest I could find was about a year old and the results were a far cry from your claim.

After some wide speculation on your part, you go into the other smoke cessation techniques but include NRT which the first couple paragraphs were written about.

I think your editorial team needs rehab on writing editorials.

Yup, you did the math correctly, between 2-3 packs a day. It was getting pretty ugly. It reminded me of my aunt who I swear never had a moment without a cigarette lit and she taught early elementary school. I always wondered if she smoked that much in the classroom. I'm sure she should have been a smoking related mortality even thlough she lived till she was 86 or 87.

Further OT, Had a house and didn't need a car so I filled my garage with 4 motorcycles and still have money left over. Had to keep my dangerous habits at some level.
I was 3 packs a day and since vaping am much poorer right now. Mrs. Kodiak has spent "in advance", my estimated savings from smoking over my remaining life span. (So she can enjoy those finer things now as she says).

I have been ordered to live until I'm 97 and "pretend" I'd still be smoking all that time. :(

OT- the longer you vape, it's amazing how much you can save, or spend on other things...
