Ok. Im paranoid that my nicotine is off-ish.
It is totally clear, not yellow in the slightest. It does have a little smell to it though. It is not horrible or strong but it is discernible from smelling something with no smell like water.
Does this mean the nicotine is bad?

Also. When mixes are first complete they dont taste right
Is this normal pre-steep and will the flavours and nicotine merge?

Thanks

It might not be bad.... Nicotine color and scent can vary a lot depending on strength/ concentration and if its PG or VG based.

How long have you had it? Is there a lot number/ date? Is it a different company from what you used to use?

What's the difference between pg and vg smell?

Not sure about the PG / VG smell, but I used to get nic from Wizards labs, in VG, then decided to try the PG base since it would have brought the desired amount of PG easier. But it might cause a difference if he always got heavier VG or all VG, it does have a slightly sweet scent.

It tasted completely different to me. It had a harsher , taste and all my DIY had a harsh , almost bitter taste.

Now I couldnt say that maybe I had it for a while and it changed, or they made a mistake in percentage of nic. But I could not use it. Got paranoid and started using Nude Nic and I always get it in VG base.

It's pg based 7.2.
I'm a fool. I bought a lot of this but maybe it's been my storage because I haven't noticed it in previous mixes. Recently, after mixing 100ml bottles the smell from the bottle is like really faint ashtray smell. Yet the bottles of nicotine is the faintest peppery smell.
I've got like 8/9 litres of it! Don't want to have to chuck it out. Luckily nicotine isn't that expensive. Still though, it cost more than £0.00 :(

WHat is PG base 7.2? Sorry, Im probably just not thinking well, have a headache.

Are these 2 different brands that you are comparing?

The faint ashtray is the nicotine, it will be stronger on 50mg and even stronger on 100mg. Color will be yellowed on stronger bases and on different manufactures.

Wizards always had a slight yellow haze and peppery hint of scent/ flavor. The Nude Nic is clearer, and has a very neutral clean taste. Where thats a plus for me, some dont like it because they miss the bite/ TH.

Ive been diy'ing exclusively for years, my gf buys all our diy supplies for us and every so often if there's a deal she'll go back and try nic from wizard labs, e-cig express, rts, mfs etc... It's always peppery and gross, I used to have to just live with it until nude nic came around but now I only get from them.

Mind you, even their nic can get nasty after a while if you don't freeze it or leave it out.

Hmm, Before I bought the Wizards, I had bought a small bottle of 50/50 40mg from RTS on sale. It was very peppery and had a strong smell. Then I used Wizards and it seemed fine till I made the change to PG. I did not want to take any chances, so gave Nude Nic and have not had a problem since.

Many people do enjoy the peppery , stronger taste. They feel its more cigarette like.

Yeah some people just don't care or notice, I'm more sensitive to it since to me it tastes like gunpowder, but even the nude nic stuff isn't perfect imo, just the best option. It still can get nasty after a while if left out. I only unfreeze 15ml at a time, any more than that and it'll start to turn yellow and smell funny towards the end.

Keep in mind everyone is going to be different based on how quickly you go through nic, where you keep your thawed out bottle and how hot it is inside your home. I have no control over the thermostat in my house, so I just keep mine away from light. The frozen stuff I put in glass 30ml bottles and vacuum seal them before putting them in a floor freezer.

I have a couple liters of NN, that have not been opened yet.

When you say you "vacuum seal" it, how do you do that? Ive always bought my nic in 250 or 500ml bottles and usually 38mg. Those in the freezer are either 50 or 100mg. I was tempted to get more, but I did not want to spend a lot on nic and then end up with it going bad on me.

BTW, I was just in the middle of adding nic to some of my bottles of DIY I just finished making, its a 38mg VG bottle. I decided to sniff it and it did have a slight scent and for the hell of it, took a tiny taste. WOW, gunpowder is not exaggerating. I remember that taste on that one that I had not liked, the all PG one from Wizards, thats kinda how everything I mixed up tasted like, but not as strong. :)

Right. I can't work out if it's too gone or not.
I've thought about nude nicotine because you all rave about it.
I live in the UK so does anybody have any idea how much in shipping, taxes and extras it would cost to import
2 gallons of vg into the country?

Also, I'm with the folks in a small house. I don't have fridge or freezer space for nicotine and I want to travel in a little while. Any of you have any ideas how to go about this?
Does the lack of a freezer mean spoilt nicotine always?
Any help, advice or tips would be great.

Last question. How long will the nicotine be available? Is it March or May this year?

Thanks

A faint ashtray smell (or wet dog smell as some call it) is normal for unflavored nic. juice, at least in my experience. The stuff I've been buying from RTS for several years now has always had a bit of that scent to it, and I'm still here to tell the tale, so...:D Also, unflavored PG based juice can have a vaguely bitter chemical taste to it, which is why I prefer high VG blends. I don't think the taste of the PG should carry over once you've added flavors to it, but I can't say for sure, as I only vape unflavored.

Light and heat will cause the nic to deteriorate at a much faster rate than being kept in the freezer. The nic isn't bad yet if you are just noticing it. When it turns pink and the smell overwhelms you then I would use it as a pesticide or weed killer. You do know that nic is a poison right?

Yep. I don't really fancy vaping a substance with an overwhelmingly horrible taste anyway.

Gutted though. I'm running out of money and how long until the nic is not available?
If you are just now noticing it, do the flavors you add take it away? It should. Find a dark, cool place to place your stash(like the bottom of a seldom used closet, wrapped in an old towel to keep from breaking the glass and letting in light).

Also by the time you dilute it down to your nic level the problem corrects itself.

Thanks. I'm so disorganised so I have a rucksack with lots of 100ml amber glass bottles with caps tightened with a tool in the garage and wrapped in bubble wrap.
Then another rucksack with the same in the bottom of the wardrobe.
Then an 5 litre bottle in the shed which I haven't even opened the seal and it sits in its plastic container for 8 months now . Not even discussing that one!!!
But 50 amber bottles and caps is expensive and another setup I could buy.
