Are nicotine strengths a universal? What I mean is, I am only familiar with V2 "cartridges" (which are actually cartomizers, if I'm understanding the meanings) I've always ordered 6mg for myself and 12mg for my husband. He said the 6's just weren't giving enough "kick". I ordered some juice today in 12mg. Can I expect it to "have the same kick" as what he is used to?

Note: I understand that "kick" is subjective. He uses the automatic batteries, while I use the button batteries. I was never satisfied with the auto's. I just didn't feel like I was getting enough vapor. He seems to be happier with the 12mg and has cut way down, but alas, still smokes 4 or 5 analogs a day. I'm hoping that new flavors/batteries/something will help him. (I am 14 weeks analog free!:vapor:)

Nicotine strength is per ml so it doesn't matter how big a bottle or cart it's in
One company uses percents instead

Re same kick? Nicotine-wise, sort of - every device makes a different density of vapor. Some have more airy vapor or make more or less vapor. The denser the vapor in your drag, the more nicotine you might get with one drag

TH-wise? no
TH is a factor of 3 things
nicotine level, heat of the vapor, PG/VG base of the liquid
more nicotine - more hit
more heat = more hit
PG lets through the most TH, VG lets through the least so the PG/VG ratio of the juice is important

I guess that's what I mean. I don't know anything about a V2 or what it's like. A friend had a no-brand I new KR808 and it was like sucking a milkshake through a straw. You really had to pull to get any sort of an inhale with it. I don't know if yours is like that or not. Like I said, I'm not familiar with a lot of models.

If it is like that, I don't think the nic level is going to help a whole lot. It might help a little. If he's still smoking, it might not be doing it for him. Maybe something like an ego would work better for him.

Are you talking about the sensation you feel when you inhale or the rush of that the nicotine gives (kind of like a little "head buzz")? If you're after the inhalation sensation you can try different types of juice mixes. PG based liquids are claimed to have more throat hit (TH), although some are sensitive to PG or just want to stay away from it for personal reasons. VG based liquids are thicker consistency and offer alot more vapor. I personally stay around 50/50 mix @ 24mg/mL. I mix my own juice and refill my cartos. This leads me to ask, Why on earth are you not ordering blank cartos and filling them yourself with bulk juice? It's more cost effective. Maybe I'm just a cheapskate, but I'm sure others would agree.

The most common level of nicotine strength used, based on polls on this site and other sites, by a large margin is 24mg. So both you and your husband are way under the most common levels used.

The higher the nicotine level and the better (more power) the batteries in your device, the better your device will simulate the inhaled feel of the real thing.

i started with 20 but seemed too hight, went down to 12 and made a mistake by ordering 8mg, now im back up to 18-24 range and it seems to be comfortable. if i use 24 for too long i would have to wear a neck brace for whiplash and my eyes actually go little funny. if you have to toss n turn in bed for hours chances are your over doing the nic.

You can get the Riva for $29.99 at Liberty Flights. Click the 20% code at the top.

Get him a sampler of juices (elsewhere) at different nicotine levels to see what works for him. I'd get him a box of Boge 2.0 cartomizers as well. That should start him off nicely!

Best of luck! Congrats to you for doing so well!

i ordered 20 reg. boge cartomizers and tried 1...now they sit in my drawer as a back up just incase everything else fails. good call about the LR cartos.

Shouldn't have been that bad. Did you put in enough juice? It takes 18 to 20 drops and you have to let them soak in. I let mine sit over night before using.
