@ OP - Welcome to ECF!!

you mentioned you smoked USA Menthol Light 100's but not if it was a pack a week or 5 packs a day, that should figure into the considerations on vape juice. Also did you take extra long drag on your lights? cover up the air vents on the filter with your lips - finger? Studies have shown "lights" smokers self adjusted their nicotine intake with smoking more, longer drag, etc.....

swedishfish is correct in recommending somewhere between 12 -24mg, as that is the most common range and easy to adjust up or down. Buy small samples of different strength and flavors and experiment to find your own best level.

It really is impossible to tell which nicotine level is going to work for you. You can't base it on what kind of cigarettes you smoke. I used to smoke Ultra Lights and I started with 18mg. That was too weak for me and I ended up bumping to 24mg for a while. If someone had told me that I needed to start with 12mg just because I smoked Ultra Lights, I would've been pulling my hair out looking for a cigarette.

Get some juice with a couple of different levels, like Swedish said. It's easier to move the nic level around by doing what she said and it'll be easier to find the right nic level for you.

BTW, I chain vape 18mg...just saying.

Welcome to ECF the journey of quitting cig's is long and sometimes painful but with vaping and these people on this forum all the pain and struggle just goes away and the journey starts to seem more of a vacation in paradise.

I would agree with swedishfish and the others get some samples from some vendors in anything from 2-6-12-18-24mg of nic and see what works for you. If 6mg works good for you if 24mg works for you also fine you can work your way down to 0mg over time either way best of luck and once again welcome.
