Nimbus Dual Coil Issue

This evening I was trying to get a dual coil setup running on my Nimbus. However I've hit a brick wall tonight and I don't understand what I'm doing wrong.

I can get one set of wicks working/glowing perfectly. Yet, I can't get the second set of wicks to glow evenly as the first set. Either they won't glow or it's very weak while the first set is glowing without any issues.

I was using 3MM silica for the wick and 30 gauge kanthal with a 4/5 wrap.

Any suggestions on how I can correct this?

I'd say the one glowing has slightly lower resistance. Try trimming a bit off the other near the negative post to get them balanced. I'm assuming all your connections are good and tight, check them first.

Unloaded hit the nail on the head... For both coils to heat up evenly, they both have to be the exact same resistance.

Exactly,make sure you use two pieces of wire the same length.
