i've had an I4 for a year. i'm ordering a D4 today and i suppose i can chime in. no fancy o-scope reports or reviewing. just a simple opinion from a simple bro. i'll get back to this in a week or 3.

What's the difference in I4 and D4?

Yeah thats the only noticable changes..however im a bit skeptical coz my one of my i4 spring got too thight, and also 18350 batteries need to be positioned delicately for it to be properly charged..if not 3 leds lights up soo quick

The D4 can charge LiFe (3.2v) batteries too. Not that I use any single, round cells to take advantage of it...

Currently on the fence. Could be nice with a new 4-port charger with a display, tho.

So initial impressions on the d4, with comparison to i4: its definitely pretty to look at. Shows realtime time voltage and amps on each bay, so no guesstimation on what the i4 LEDs are trying to say. The clock on it I'm pretty sure ticks up for time charging, not time remaining. The amps are either 750 if charging 2 or 375 if charging 3-4.
The metal slides are REALLY nice. Maybe my i4 is just worn out, but these are great. Battery is a little hard to remove, but thats OK. I'm sure I'll get the hang of it.
Display has a decent FOV side to side, but not so much on the vertical plane.

Overall so far after 8 batteries charged and 24 hours of ownership: I definitely do not regret it. Sell off the i4 to a noob vaper friend for 10 bucks and enjoy the pretty display.

Well I've got the nitecore i2 and xtar vp2. Both work well but like the xtar a little better because of the display. No guessing on charge status or voltage with the screen. Ability to charge at .25 amps vs .5 with the I2 This should help increase battery life :)
