I got some more Bounty Hunter in this week. Seems to be a totally different juice than when I first started vaping it. I taste more Copper Creek House Blend than Bounty Hunter in the BH.. losing the "graham cracker" taste too...

I did agree with Gene's e-mail about all the factors that might have influenced this change. But I have seen people on here claiming that after a little steeping time it is getting better. My only argument with that is Gene doesn't mix the juices, rather another company does, and sends them to NLV... so it should be pre-steeped (to a degree)

As far as I know, most juice production facilities do not maintain large stocks of inventory, especially when the juices are custom formulated for a certain retail vendor. Factories ship out their juices as soon as they're made. If a vendor is selling juice like hotcakes---as is the case with Gene at NiteLite now---the bottles of juice a customer receives may be only about a week old when they arrive in the mail.

Maturing and melding of flavors typically take about 2-3 weeks, so, in the case of Bounty Hunter these days, steeping for at least a week and probably two is well-advised.

Personally, I never wait to vape any juice. Luckily for me, I'm not an "all-day vape" kind of guy---I vape about 20 different juices every day, so I don't burn through even small bottles of juice very fast, and 30ml bottles of my favorite juices may last six months. As a result, newly-arrived juices get what I think of as "de facto" steeping.

You're very lucky you vape so many juices a day! I wish I enjoyed that many! After all this time of vaping, I've only ever found roughly 5-10 vapes that I could vape for more than 5 minutes. I guess my taste buds are pretty picky, which I hate.

I ordered quite a bit of BH as usual, so once I get to the better steeped stuff, I will see if there is significant change. But I seirously taste CC House Blend... kinda odd.

Yes, both Bounty Hunter and CC House Blend are near the top rank of my stable of daily juices, and I do find them to "lean" in a similar direction. The obvious difference is that Bounty Hunter is a vanilla blend, while CC House Blend uses chocolate. But that difference may not be all that significant, since both juices are formulated for subtlety in flavor combination rather than boldness or each flavor in the mix standing out individually.

Anyway, good luck. I hope your Bounty Hunter eventually tastes like Bounty Hunter.

Thanks, and I've love your RY4 thread that you put great effort into

I'm completely with you on this. After a week of steeping, I'm still getting too much vanilla and nearly no graham cracker. If, in the next couple of weeks, it's still not right, I'm gonna try adding some of the graham cracker sample I got from the Vapor Room. I haven't tried it straight yet, but it's amazing how much it smells like BH used to smell!

I think I can safely say "Fear not" to my BH-loving friends. I too noticed that my brand-new post-Labor Day order of Bounty Hunter seemed quite "lacking" compared to the bottle I got in August. It has now ripened into the delicious vanilla cake batter + cereal + pixie dust that I recall that first bottle being! :)

Also, I just put some Sundance, Vanilla Strait and Renegade RY4 up for trade in the Classifieds, if anyone is interested (I hope it doesn't break any rules to post that here!).

I just received my second bottle about 3 days ago. This one is much darker than the first one. At first it had a "cavendish" flavor with the cake batter light in the background, but it mellowed to the cake batter flavor in the front and the tobacco is very light in the background. This bottle however is stronger in flavor than the first one which I bought about 3 weeks ago.

ps..I love CC House Blend as well! This and Copper Creek's House Blend are what I go to if I have no clue what I want. House Blend is my morning vape with coffee though. Yum!

BTW Copper Creek raised their prices. I was really depressed. I think it is 16.50 for 30ml now. That is still ok I guess but I liked the other price better. She is also selling 120ml bottles for $55.

kiminsc,

I don't begrudge any vendor making a living, and all vendors have the right to charge whatever they feel they need. That said, I too was personally disappointed at CopperCreek's substantial price increase. Previously, I thought of CopperCreek as a good vendor with some great juices at bargain prices. Now I consider CC just a good vendor with some great juices (but no longer a bargain).

Down the rabbit hole..
Well when you take into consideration I just paid 7.99 for 10ml of Dulci from VaporTalk...Copper Creek is still a bargain!!..
btw FV had a dramatic increase in her website bandwidth fees and in her credit card processing fees..her price increase
was to offset a little of these increases!..
Besides all her juices are great and most of her flavorings are all natural.....
I don't mind paying for quality juices I know I'll vape and enjoy...Just my :2c:

Violet,

As one of my four official friends on this forum, I'd never want to write anything that would even slightly rub you the wrong way, so let me state up front that I understand your point of view and accept your fierce loyalty to Flying V.

I guess it's a question of perspective. Yes, Copper Creek juices are still a "bargain" compared to eight bucks for 10mls of Dulcis. But then, Dulcis is overpriced, especially if what I'm told is true---that Dulcis comes to VaporTalk as bottled premix straight from the factory in China. Yeah, Dulcis is a quality juice---after all, it's in the Top 10 of my RY4 Big List rankings---but I still think it's overpriced. From where I sit, $16.50 for 30mls is just about the middle of the bell curve for vendor juice prices. Not bad, but nothing to write home about.

And yes, I too am willing to fork over whatever it takes for my favorite juices. Copper Creek has two juices that are personal faves for me---House Blend and Coffee. Earlier this month I ordered more of both of those, plus two others I hadn't tried before. I'd hoped to stock up with 30ml bottles, but I ended up settling for 15ml bottles of each.

I wouldn't even mention any of this in a Copper Creek thread, but it seems somehow more relevant in a NiteLite thread, since part of what blows people's minds about NLV is the combination of fantastic juices at rock-bottom prices. Either of those (great juice or low prices) would insure a sizable following for NLV, but both together is rare and special. Add to those Gene's unbelievably generous customer service with freebies and upgrades (and I don't mean some 3ml bottle of a juice you'd never buy), and it's no wonder so many folks say, "Holy Cow!" (or words to that effect).

I ended up ordering only a 15ml bottle of House blend as well:(

I have a question...is NLV Cafe Latte really really sweet? I am thinking of trying it. I love coffee but haven't found a coffee vape that I like yet. I even tried VR Carmelized Cappacino but it was way to sweet and had too much caramel for me. What is NLV like?

Honestly, it's not really a sweet at all. Only a touch, it's the only coffee juice that I have that actually tastes like a cup of coffee. You should really give it a try.
