Hello folks, just signed up today after purchasing my first e-cigarette kit in a truckstop. It's the njoy NPRO and I have already gathered from reading a bit on these forums that it's not very highly regarded among the members here (although I haven't quite pinned down the why).

To be honest it was an impulse buy. Also, so far I like it but maybe I just don't know any better :D

Ok, that said, I have been looking at the PureSmoker site and see I could have got a much, much better deal there and am considering ordering the Original Classic from them at some point in the near future.

I just today learned that one can order the liquid and do the cartridge refills at a substantial savings over buying new ones all the time. I am very interested in this angle and want to learn more. I've been looking at the Totally Wicked E Liquid site for that as I saw positive comments about them.

I am assuming that the cartridges for the Classic are intended to be refilled?

Can one refill the cartridges that come with the NPRO?

How many times can a cartridge be refilled before it has to be replaced?

I have so many questions and much to learn, and I apologize if these have already been answered in the forums but my searches didn't turn up exactly what I was looking for. Probably just me not entering the correct searcch terms.

I'll be continuing to read through the forums and try to better educate myself on this most interesting and promising new (to me) gadget discovery.

Thanks in advance for any helpful information and forgive my stupid questions.

I'd also be interested in knowing more specifics about why the NPRO is a poor choice.

I also purchased the NJOY penstyle and the NPRO mini-cig. I love the pen style! Lots of vapor, deep hit. I am refilling my cartridges, but prefer pre-filled ones as they seem to last a long time.

Thanks for that. I'm considering refilling from a financial perspective but it's interesting to know that the pre-filled last longer.

np. I wouldn't buy refill carts from the truck stop if you don't have to - they are super expensive. I buy mine for $4.95 from puresmoker. NJoy is not a bad product in my opinion. I have completely stopped smoking analog cigs since the day I bought my NJoy! I feel so healthy for the first time in years.

I couldn't help but literally laugh out loud when I got the phrase "analog cigs". That really tickled the techno-geek in me.

Hi Mason, welcome to the forum.

The Npro is a super mini which has short battery and cartridge life. It's parts are compatible with the pee wee at Puresmoker.com if you need spares.

Cartridges can be refilled and will last just as long if you saturate the filler properly by using a syringe to fill from the bottom up.

The best place to start on the forum is here

Thanks Kate. I saw the pee wee on their site and the first thing I noticed was that it looked identical to the Npro (at a much lower price). Good to know about the parts and the saturating. I appreciate it.

I'll give that link a read.

Hi Mason, welcome to the forum.

Hi Kate, refilling carts was by far the best tip I got & it's saving me tons (although I bought about 200 carts before I learnt this8-o but at least kept them to reuse for the next millenium)
You often guide us to great video links about syringe using, squeezing carts etc..-
So I just tried squeezing out the juice from 6 carts I had put aside to wash & got so much juice back!..
Since the guy in the video doesn't talk..is this juice really still good to use for topping? it tastes amazing but the idea of "old" juice makes me nervous..but what an additional saving that would be too!
Thanks!

What you want to do is buy the Ejuice.
The cartridges can be refilled many times and you pull out the stuffing in them and clean them out to get rid of excess liquid or old liquid. Just run the stuffing under hot water and let dry.

It's alot cheaper than buying the cartridges every time. You can use a syringe to fill the cart back up or you can just drip the liquid into the cartridge. This way also you can try differnt flavors mixed together in one cartridge.

I have been vapin on my Classic Penstyle from Puresmoker for over a month now and haven't had any problems with it at all! It's a great vapor producer and it gives you a nice smooth hit every time. If you are worried about batteries: Steve at puresmoker also has a usb battery that connects straight from the computer with no battery needed. It's like a fresh new battery every time I Vape.

I wish you guys and gals the best of luck and Welocme to the forum!
Please don't hesitate to ask questions.

Thanks. I'm sure I'll be ordering the Classic as soon as business picks up again so I can afford it.

I saw that USB battery there, but as I would be vaping mostly while driving my rig I don't think it would work out too well for me :D Cool idea though.

Walmart has a USB charger that plugs directly in the cigarette lighter in your car.
Never need a battery again.

Thanks Duke, I think I actually have one of those lighter/usb power supplies somewhere at home. I'll have to look for it next time I get that way.

If you have the equip it might be worth testing the output of that to make sure it's 1000mA or 1A as that's what the USB spec says and what the passthroughs expect. (can probably get close and still get a good hit off of it) Many of those 12v cigarette lighter -> USB things do not even come close to the power requirements as most cell phones can charge on much less. If you do go buy one then read the specs on it and make sure you can return if it doesn't perform up to snuff.

Also, if you are vaping in the car via USB . . . put it down between vapes as winding the cord up in the steering wheel sucks :p

oh and not to double post but can't edit yet . . .

Get yourself some rubber caps of some sort so you can refill a bunch before you leave as dripping/topping off on the road sucks (and is dangerous) if you are on freeway and no red lights to do it at. I had some rubber caps off of something that worked (though only have like 5, but don't drive for a living either) that I use, and keep a small bottle to drop used carts into so they don't make a mess. Then wash out/refill at home or at the truck stop, cap and stick somewhere you can get at them easily while driving and you should be all set.

edit: OOH I can edit now.

My question to John at Njoy was:
" I was wondering if Njoy has thought about producing a portable charger in case you are in a place where there are no outlets to hook up the charger? Like the Great White travel charger"

His reply:

Sorry for the late response, we were off for the weekend. I do believe a portable charger is in the works.

This is what The Great White mobile charger looks like, it comes with a USB cable or you can charge it on your main charger. Once fully charge it claims to give you 5 full charges for your batteries. Only works on the Great White, not on the Npro. I already tried :p
