Its so bad now. Now everyone that knows me keeps commenting on how they heard what the FDA said and how they don't think its a very smart idea anymore.
Damn the FDA.
I don't understand at all how vaping could be worse than smoking analogs.
I could pull out a list that would stretch a mile long of ingredients in cigarette.
I could fit all the ingredients in eliquid on a post-it note.
It makes me sad. :(

lol they did generalize all E-cig products in this almost makes me wonder if all E-cig vendors should sue for slander lol

Based on Njoy's response, it seems they weren't all that well prepared to reply. Even though I find the FDA results to be a 6 pound bag of crap; they've got a lot more money to fight with than Njoy. It's PEOPLE who are going to have to fight this.

I would like to see a comparison of the harmful ingredients and the supposed harmful ingredients between real cigarettes and e-cigarettes and still have the FDA call them bad. If they say e-cigs are bad and won't allow them to be sold - how on EARTH can they continue to allow regular cigarettes to be sold?

Don't be sad, just explain to them that this is FDA propaganda to get the public against e-cigs, and to get e-cigs under there control so they can tax the he11 out of us (or to simply bann e-cigs because they think they will appeal to children).

IMO this is no different then what the Nazi's did to win the public over, lie lie lie!!!

I seen someone say that the FDA should be charged with some sort of Murder if they bann e-cigs, most vapor smokers will simply go back to analogs resulting in more deaths in the long run. Not sure I disagree with this

I know what you mean :-(

I started vaping right before my son went to Iraq. After trying my e-cig before he left, he wanted me to send him e-cig supplies once he got there so he can get of analogs also. He has tried to quit before also, but always ended up going back to analogs. Since I was new at it at the time, I told him I would see how it goes with me and we would talk about it once I was more familiar with it.

He has seen me struggle for a long, long time to quit my 40 year long habit of smoking 3-4 day a pack habit and he has seen me fail with every method, patch, hypnosis, cold turkey, gum, Cyban, Chantix (got vilolently sick from those), lozengers, you name it, I tried it, most of them more than once, that is on the market and out there, until the e-cig came along!!!
He was so, so elated when he saw that I dropped analogs completely within a few days of getting my first e-cig, the DSE901 and that I have not had a single analog every since!

I spoke with him today and the very first thing he talked about on the call was the FDA report. How the e-cigs turned out to be dangerous and cancer causing also, so why bother quitting analogs and so on and so on...... I told him that the FDA was full of BS and I would send him more info.

Pisses me off to no end that the FDA is now changing people's minds about how safe it is for the vaporer and for those around them. Many potential analog quitters will now not be making the switch to e-cigs....How sad and frustrating.... Many on his post in Iraq are talking about it also and are saying the same thing, why bother with e-cigs if they are dangerous also.......

I will not stop e-cigs no matter what happens....I will find a way to vape, one way or the other.....!!!!

You know, this is a very good point. FDA has incredible power to disseminate information to media. If they present skewed findings it is not the same as when a manufacturer does it -- the general public views FDA as "neutral" and will take FDA comments to be the independent truth. If FDA statements turn analog smokers away from PVs, the FDA would be in a very difficult spot when the truth comes out.

So true. The FDA report went worldwide in hours, to millions who know none of the truths about ecigs, the new tobacco laws or the politics behind it all.

It wasn't more than 10 minutes after the news ended Tuesday night that I heard from my very worried mom.

I, for one, am happy that NJOY had the guts to step up to the plate and take the hit.
I know the $$$ are behind it, but in defending their product, they are helping vapers.
As for defending other producers, how could they? They only know what is in THEIR product. Unfortunately, other manufacturers may not be as careful when producing the carts or the juice that fills them. Prime example, SE.

My Daughter came up with a decent idea... we all need to write the president... I dont know if it will help... but it cant hurt
Contact Us

This is the e-mail form to contact him (well at least the whitehouse) He is a smoker.. he has been trying to quit...

We also need to write to the crews of the deadliest catch... I know that sounds silly... but if you have watched the show they are killing themselves with analogs... Every little bit can help here... we need to stand up and and call the FDA's report what it is... BS!!!!!!

The fact that people challenge others over the FDA release is a good thing. It provides us opportunities to spread the truth. Don't be saddened, view it as a chance to educate.

+2. This response is just the first of many. I have seen press releases from many suppliers noting that the FDA/media has lumped all ecigarettes into these findings.

I know I have posted this before as have others, but for those who have not read it yet, Dr. Siegel's response is one of the best I have read to date:
The Rest of the Story: Tobacco News Analysis and Commentary

Definitely worth a read!

And we all can't forget that with every bad bit that has come out thus far, many good things have come... Dr. Nitzkin, David Sweanor, Dr. Siegal, Bill Godshall, Congressional members... etc.

It also helps all of us become more educated on the situation so we can help educate those around us on a local level and that is what is important.

In my humble opinion, that dam FDA statement issued to the public is as criminal as yelling fire in a crowded theatre.... it was very carefully contrived and crafted to sway public opinion not to the facts, but to their skewed version of the truth, pushed by an obvious hatred toward all things E-Cigs.

This is pure manipulation and abuse of power.

That is BY FAR the best response I have seen to date!!!!!!!!!! wonderful read... it needs to be plastered on the FDA's front door!!!!!!!!!
