What's up everyone?

I have been having a problem lately with tasting my juice, I have searched on here and on Google and every remedy that is out there does not help!
Im vaping on a Kanger subtank with a 1.2 ohm coil and an ipv3 running at about 19 watts. I was steadily vaping looper and I switched to sugar bear from Cuttwood, that didn't taste like it usually did and now I've gone back to the looper and the taste is way off...... Any suggestions?

thanks

Are you a chain vaper? If so you are experiencing vaper's tongue which means your taste buds are muted. I usually drink some mild tea or something like that and then vape a smooth vanilla custard for like a week to give my taste buds a break then go back to my fruitier flavors again that seems to work for me you also need to take into consideration that if you don't vape a certain flavor for a period of time then go back to it the juice steeps and the flavor will change some, I even if I'm not vaping a specific juice for a while will shake the juice up twice a day so that there is no separation taking place. This is what I do to recover my taste buds and it works for me but it may not do it for you I don't know.

I've had vapers tongue twice now since I've started vaping. Its definitely real, and happens. I haven't experienced it for sometime now though. As much as it sucked not being able to taste your juice it usually lasted a day and the next morning all was good. Plenty of suggestions to kick start the taste buds, but it usually took a nights sleep for me.

I've been vaping since New Years day. I've been trying to find other flavors but nothing seems to taste right to me for example I just purchased the milkman a few days ago and I couldn't taste anything.....it literally tasted like nothing. I'll try the tea thing and switch it up a bit but nothing else has really piqued my palette more than looper, it is literally the perfect flavor for me

I know for me, going to b&m they usually have their samples in little ego setups. 90% of the time I can't taste the flavors. I suppose could be due to using the subtank/ goblin ect. Things like a menthol or peppermint you should def be able to taste. Or try a flavor boost. Stay hydrated and try different methods. I just know smoking did its damage to my taste buds but are gradually getting better. Hope you start tasting your juice soon.

it does sound like VapeTongue, however could you need new coils? my ultimate remedy would be to vape some strong menthol (if you like it) for a day or two, drink plenty of water (alll the time) then change your coil on the subtank and buy some new jucie (incase it has steeped) this should solve the issue. If not.... maybe your tastebuds have changed and that flavour is not for you anymore! (happened to me with red energy)

if so, the ADV search starts again!

Good luck and i hope you get sorted.

I only know what I have read about vapor's tongue because I have never experience d it. If you have been vaping a long time, it could just be as simple as changing flavors more often like I do or finding another juice. I'm sure you will get some great suggestions here. Wish I could offer more than just sympathy. :( But I hope the problem is rectified soon for you. Here is one article I read. . .

Here is a thread talking about vaper's tongue and it gives some suggestions to try.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...vaper-s-tongue-dealing-olfactory-fatigue.html

The main thing for me that throws off my taste is if I do not drink a lot of water. So drink lots of water, and then drink some more. Beer, coffee, soda, etc. do not work as well as good old water. Foods you eat and even not eating for a long time can affect the taste of your juice too.

And some times I just need to change my wick, dry burn my coil (or make a new one) and give the gear a good cleaning. I set up a routine for cleaning my gear and other maintenance things. Keeps it all working more smoothly.

You will figure out what triggers vaper's tongue for you and it does pass. Don't get discouraged. For new vapers the first couple of months have lots of little challenges that you need to get past so your tastebuds heal and you learn your vaping routine.

Ah, that would explain why when I was in a b&m last week and tried every single Space Jam flavor, they all tasted the same....no flavor.

What I have noticed is when I start chain vaping, the flavor fades as I'm vaping. If I stop and do something else for an hour or so and then come back to it, the flavor comes back. Then I start chain vaping again and it starts all over.

My bout with vapers tongue came at the 2-3 month point. My experience was different than many describe as suddenly everything started tasting awful. I think that my sense of taste and especially my sense of smell were coming back so that I could actually taste what I was vaping. I went thru a real war with my taste buds while I searched for a flavor I actually liked. Ornery creatures those buds.

Since quitting smoking, I've suffered the occasional day where EVERYTHING tastes odd, and/or I go around smelling something weird all day. A couple of times I've experienced the "olfactory fatigue" you mentioned, and although drinking water and switching flavors can help a little, usually the only cure is time -- by the next day, my tongue would have sorted itself out and things taste normally again. Switching flavors can help to PREVENT it, though -- I keep 2-3 handy at all times, ready to vape, so if my usual strawberries and cream starts tasting weird or not at all, I just puff on another for a while -- my "Smocha" is good for relief, because it's a smoky coffee/tobacco sort of taste, kind of bitter, way different from the sweetness of strawberries and cream or even blueberry muffin.

It's frustrating and aggravating, but not the end of the world, and it does pass. It's just part of the healing process from years (decades!) of smoking, I'm pretty sure.

It happened to me at the two month point. I used pickles or candied ginger to cleanse my palette followed by a fresh water swish. I also smelled freshly ground coffee because it's been found that the sense of taste and the sense of smell are connected. Sometimes these practices force the senses to reset. When all else failed I dripped Pluid. I figured that if I couldn't taste that, I was probably dead.
