Has any found a supplier or company that has tobacco e-juice like or very similar to MFS Turbosmog, Tall Paul, or Red Luck?

They're both great but I don't have the tinkering time lately to keep a genesis going strong. Looking fwd to setting the old cobra up again soon though.

That's one of the advantages of gennys, at lest for me. Once it's set up, a mesh wick and coil lasts a long time. I have gennys that I haven't done anything to in months, other than an occasional dry burn.
Kayfuns, on the other hand, with soft wicks, require more frequent re wicking. Plus, it's a messier procedure. I can dry burn and refill a genny without getting a drop of juice anywhere. Not true when re wicking a kayfun.

I'll chime in on this one. I have a Russian 91% and sure the flavor is amazing on it, and its a nice platform to build on. I personally have a hard time with leaks or dry hits. Before anyone shouts suggestions at me, I've heard them all and done the research. For some reason, I find the device more finicky than I prefer.

My Pyrex RSST however...
Ever since I got it, its been my every day vape. I leave the fill plug on and it produces about as much vapor as a nice dripper. Like RipTrippers status.
What I do on my builds is I use 500 mesh, and have it hollow all the way down. The last one was too hollow actually so I had to put another sleeve of 400 mesh to add more wick material. I microcoil it with 28 ga kanthal at 2.4 ohms and I run it at 5.3-5.8 volts on my Provari (whoa!)

Its a beast. I've never had a machine quite like this one. As I vape, the juice flows up the wicks and the air goes down the tube, into the tank. In my case, it actually vapes worse when the fill cap is off (low vapor production). I know this seems to defy the laws of physics because you would expect it to work better without the fill cap, but it works great with the cap on.

The icing on the cake is that it's never leaked. I have it sideways in my pocket all the time. I'm just careful not to have the intake hole facing down, but other than that, it's never made a mess on me.

FYI, the pyrex RSST top cap fits far more snug than the original RSST cap. The caps are the same. I have a cap with 1/16" air hole and one with 5/64". I primarily use the 5/64. For me, the genny will never die. Cheap to build, great, clean flavor and vapes like a freight train. Maybe I just got a lucky build. If so, good for me!

They say cotton is cheap. Factor in the amount of TP required for re-wicking and you'll break even with a mesh wick in no-time :D

When I pull a mesh wick, I dry burn it and stick it in a zip lock bag. Once I decide to set up that gennie again, it's just a matter of finding a wick that fit.

Excellent point, Rule62.... gennys are much less messy to service and fill. I think that is one reason I sort of don't anticipate the wick changes in the Kayfun.....lol.

Gennies are indeed less messy to service. However, if you're making a mess refilling a KF, you're doing something wrong!

Mine spray when burning, tried to get a picture and had to clean my camera lens. I always burn over a paper towel or garbage can. If I had to pull liquid out to burn I don't put the fill screw back in and I'm sure those last few drops are going to come out at some point. And there's always the condensation on the deck that's going to drip holding it sideways if burning with half a tank in.

I've had a few genesis builds that behave without tinkering for a month or more! But most I'm poking & prodding along, perhaps it's a wicking problem more than a coil problem as the successful builds were mostly with thinner juices. Yep I agree kayfun is a messy rewick & cotton seems to lose taste after a day or 2.

I find gennies much quicker and cleaner to set up, and with a mesh wick requires almost no maintenance compared to running cotton or silica in a KFL. The only maintenance any well set up mesh atty needs is the occasional dry burn to clean the wick and coil. And, when a gennie needs maintenance, you simply pop the cap off and get to it. Not so much for the KFL.

Uh, pop off top cap. Pour e-juice into an empty juice bottle.

Do work.

Refill.

While I've had Kayfun's and Aqua's longer than anything genesis. It's still easier. It doesn't leak. It tastes better...
SS mesh can be a little brighter on some flavors than cotton. But if you're wicking with properly boiled, and dried cotton. It's pretty negligible after a couple vapes on the cotton. Vapor production is typically better, and while SS mesh is pretty resilient to getting burnt. I've pretty much mastered cotton. And generally hate making vertical coils in comparison to building on say a KF or Aqua deck.

The coil running in my KF is literally the second one I ever built in it. It's been going over a month being used EVERY DAY ALL DAY. Wicked countless times. And dry burn? Ha. I light it up glowing and *shrieeeeek* right under a running faucet a couple times. Give it a warming tap and rewick.

Life is just easier with a KF. I did recently purchase another genny tank I haven't received yet before I totally discount them. But it will never be a daily tank. I almost guarantee it. Too much of a PITA.

I beg to differ. Maintenance being a dry burn. That's all the work a well set up gennie ever needs. I run mine for months without changing wick or coil. Even if that wasn't the case, I'd much rather re-wick and re-coil a genny than a KFL. Such a PITA simply to get access to the coil on a KFL. That's why I set mine up with a mesh wick.

Gennie:
Drain juice (or vape dry)
Dry burn
Fill juice
Happy vaper

KFL
Drain most of the juice (or vape dry)
Disassemble
Wipe
Wipe
Wash hands
Wipe
Disassemble inner chamber
Wipe
Wash hands
Wipe
Sad vaper with pruned up hands
Dry burn
Re-wick (if cotton or silica)
Reassemble
Fill juice
Content vaper

I'm going to go set my KF upside down for the next hour. Just for you.

;)

I'd love some pix from veteran genny guys. Both cotton and steel wicked. I built another coil for my AGA the other day and ding 1.2ohm's on the button. But it seemed to get a hot leg and was unvape-able. The last coil was money. Dunno what I did different.
