hey ya'll! I have a question. I am on a mission to find a great flavor. I have tried some that just have an "essence" of flavor to them--in other words its just like a whiff of flavor. Then tried some, that just have absolutely NOTHING, like blowing air outta my mouth when im cold or something. I bought some flavors (Loranns) and everything needed to make my own. Even with that--I just dont get it. Hubby has pretty much quit altogether because he says that he gets more flavor out of his marlboro analogs.

So, my question is this....
what out there actually has a great taste/flavor to it? I want a throat hit!! I have some menthol carts--and I dropped some juice in them, and it was pretty good. (even though Im not a menthol freak, I liked it)

I prefer nutty flavors, like carmel I suppose.

Can i just add a bit more of my own flavors to get a good result? If so, how much?

thanks!!!:D

Cinnacide is indeed unique. Sadly it is more of a bumper than a constant flood of amazing. You get used to it. It is good enough for constant use, but unless you switch off every now and then to another flavor, the impressiveness of cinnacide fades a little.

Caramel is a bit deeper. In order to overflow that flavor you should make sure that the flavoring you are using is light on the additives like food coloring and such. perhaps flavourart could do something for you. Some of their flavors are extremely concentrated.

I've also heard from some people in DIY who make their own menthol mixes starting with dissolving menthol crystals into pg and using a drop of that in 30ml of the recipe. If you kick that up to 2 or 3 times the normal amount you would be in for a world of taste, but it would be menthol taste.

Personally when I want flavor I like the Lorann Keoke coffee flavor. It is slightly reminiscent of tobacco, but a nice coffee liquor type of way. it only takes a few drops (4 to 9 drops in 10ml is good enough. 4 for light flavor, 9 for strong. i usually use 6) so a 1 ounce bottle lasts a looong time and only costs a few bucks. This is the realm of 17cent per day vaping. :D

Another method to consider here might be to grab a few adaptors (would be a couple bucks) to allow your ecig to make use of different atomizer types. If you are on 510 you could try an 801 atomizer and a kr808d-1 or a 401, 901, etc. They all perform differently and work for some people and not for others. This is a big experiment, but most people will be able to find something which works for them. Try the swap or pay it forward sections. buy a couple adaptors and then offer to swap something for an atty and cartridge from the other models.

Worth a shot perhaps.

Best of luck!

I find that the flavor I get is very dependent on what I last ate/drank, and how full my cart is, and how fresh my batt is.

What PV are you using? If you're not getting any flavor, no matter what, maybe you need more power.

I get good results from pretty much everything, using a Joye 510, except as noted -- I can tell from the vape that my batty is about dead. I'm almost 100% vaping juice from Freedomsmoke USA. They have a lot to choose from. I go for tobacco type flavors, but not Marlboro or Camel, so I don't know for sure what to recommend. They just introduced an RY4, which many people seem to like for a "cigarette" flavor.

Tasty Vapor is the best I've found for full flavor (tastyvapor.us).

Atomic Cinnacide is the strongest flavor; it is delicious and you will have NO doubt you just vaped it!

Geoff's Blend is my favorite. It's a combo of Atomic Cinnacide, TV's version of Butter Rum, and Banana Nut Bread.

TV Butter Rum is very full-flavored, and I vape it daily.

The Banana Nut Bread took a while to grow on me (or likely, to age to greatness), and now I have trouble putting that down too.

If you are after flavor, go with Tasty Vapor. Just know that with all vaping flavors, you might burn out on one and want something else, but with a variety of TV flavors you really can't go wrong as long as your arsenal is stocked.

Tasty Vapor flavors theirs juices on order, so oftentimes they taste better after a week or so after the mixes have time to "marry". Atomic Cinnacide was a rock-star right out of the box, the others were good, then became great!

Don't give up. It's worth finding out what works for you and what doesn't if that means you aren't smoking or are smoking less. :)

If you are making your own and want real throat hit, I saw a video that talked about adding a bit of PGA, Pure Grain Alcohol like Everclear, for that. I could be wrong, but that's what they said on the video anyhow. I have no doubt that those who are really expeirienced with DIY will correct if that's not right.

I'll add my agreement that anything from Tasty Vapor is awesome as are the EcoPure all other liquids from Cignot.

thank you all for the great advice!! I will check them all out, then pick something and stick with it a while.....getting too many flavors here at home already that I dont care for.

Believe it or not~~my favorite "flavor" is the vapor king tobacco juice I got with my Kr808d (in high strength). It had a great flavor, a bit sweet (which is important to me now...) and a nutty/carmel type of flavor.

what can I do to make my diy flavors have more sweetness to them? some of them have a sweet essence that I love, while others just "whiff" away.

Thanks!!

Ms. T's. I can't say it enough. Her juices are VERY flavor dense with fantastic plumes of vapor. I'm a huge fan of the hazelnut. It has a nutty flavor that's just sweet enough without being cloying like some of the fruitier stuff.

Some of her flavors I vape straight, others are great for punching up some of the more flaccid flavors I have. Two drops of Ms. T's kahlua and cream is enough to make a HUGE difference in a straight PG coffee flavor.

Yeah, I'm a fan.

Cotton Candy juice (or better yet, cotton candy flavoring) will sweeten up a juice very well.

Straight Ethyl Maltol (EM) will also sweeten up juice. (Last I heard, Dawn at DIYFlavorshack will be carrying it)

HTH!
