My first CE4 clearomizer broke and yesterday the replacement Kanger T3 got misted and cracked by my e-juices, I've not had a roll up cig since Monday and I didn't want to bail out of this so I went looking in the local bargain shop and found a double battery and clearo pack for £25.

I paid that much for the one I got from Liberty Flights...the pound shop ones have a larger (size and capacity) battery and what appear to be more refined clearomizers, the wicks are longer and the rubber bung meets the mouthpiece better, they hold more (2ml) and have a knurled metal area at the bottom where I assume I can unscrew the atomizer.

The box says they're a CE4+ and the quality looks fine, I don't think I can taste anything weird but my senses are screwed right now, either from a virus or nicotine withdrawl...and I'm a vaping noob.

What's the score on who manufactures these things, how many knock offs are there?

There's multitudes of manufacturers of these devices, the vast majority of them from China. A good portion of them are knockoffs of known and reliable brand names like Vision, Kanger, Smoktech, and Innokin. These devices are literally all hand made in incredible numbers with questionable quality control, even among the major name brand manufacturers. Across the board, my feeling is you get better quality and consistancy with a brand name product.

Did that answer your question?:confused::blink:

As with ANY clear, knock off or not the dangers are faulty coil (shorts, never works or, burns out quickly) Leaks, tank deteriorates (clouds or cracks - somewhat juice dependent but can be from poor quality plastic as well.) bad taste, either due to materials used, or manufacturing residue in or on the things.

Yes that's more likely with a knock off but, can happen with ANY clearomizer.

The cheap ones are good to play with flavors too.

They wont explode... or so I believe.

All they do is vaporize a liquid. That is all any of these devices do. You can buy a clone or the real deal in the end it is the quality that you will pay for. Cheap ones usually work fine. I you are really worried take a millimeter to it and check the Ohms. Anything between 1.5 and 3 is workable. 0 is bad.
