If the conditions for purchase are auspicious-- i.e. you can afford it, you want it, you believe you will use it regularly etc., I don't see the harm in purchasing a tank you want, and there are many satisfied smok tank users.

With that said, I will concur that you will go through very much more e-juice, but there is always the suggestion of DIY e-liquid, but that does have some startup costs though it winds up being less expensive eventually... Or so I tell myself (although, it has in fact been borne out by real life experience) I have tons of supplies and would have spent at least that much on storebought liquids if I hadn't started, and that is with a fair amount of nicotine in my freezer, too.

Good luck deciding! If you really feel this is a "luxury" purchase that you may not use that much, I'd say hold out.

Good luck deciding!

This isn't about keeping up. And I am very leery of Smok products because I've read about so many people having problems. I think Smok has really tried to flood the market with their stuff.

I was just so impressed with that unit...the way it vaped. The best way to describe it is that it was a very satisfying vape. If I buy one I probably will only vape it outside because I can't see filling my house up with clouds. The missus would probably have an issue with that.

And after all that...when I get home from work and pick up one of my RTA units and start hitting on it, I think..."This is pretty damn good, too!"

I've pretty much poo-poo-ed this whole high wattage low ohm multi coil cloud machine vape style but I gotta say...that Smok Prov V8 got my attention. Massive clouds and smooth and just a very satisfying vape.

I haven't been able to get it out of my head. I don't need it. I like what I have. But I can't get it out of my head. It's been 3 days since I was in the store and I haven't bought it yet. Willpower!
I recall back in 2012 visiting one of the very first vape shops in my state. I was very happy using a cartotank and a mechanical mod. However, the store manager let me vape on a variable voltage regulated mod with my own tank and e-liquid. I was amazed at how I could change the quality and quantity of the vape on the fly by simply adjusting the voltage output.

This led to me purchasing my first variable voltage regulated mod...a Provari. Probably the best investment in my entire vaping experience.
