Good morning ladies. Happy Wednesday!
The general consensus (as much of a consensus as meteorologists seem to be able to come up with, anyway) is 8-10 inches. I knew we hadn't had any significant snow in years, apparently it was 2009. My biggest challenge will be trying to keep my husband from shoveling. That's what he was doing when he had his heart attack in 2005. The best I can do if he's home (and he will be) is to insist we shovel together and do it in lots of small sessions. I think it will be tomorrow before we even start shoveling though (it's not supposed to start until after 4 pm here and then be heavy snow during the night, not ending until tomorrow afternoon). But we're supposed to get ice at the end, so ideally we'll have all but about an inch of snow cleared before it changes. Don't want ice falling on a clean driveway, and also don't want ice falling on more than an inch!
We hardly ever seem to have ambitious neighborhood kids looking to make money shoveling anymore. When my son was 13, he shoveled our neighbor's driveway for free because he knew she lived alone. All he would accept for payment was cookies and hot chocolate
