Hi, I am a newbie to this forum although I have read numerous threads.
I started with a logic e-cig that was okay, however was unable to dump the cig. Because I could not find logic cartridges in a new area, I bought the new Blu Plus starter kit. Not overly happy with it, however, it is important to find non nicotine cartridges.
I was just diagnosed with early stage throat cancer and must get rid of this smoking habit. I am looking at a non nicotine cartridge to go along with the "patch". Does anyone have any ideas?? I cannot find a non nicotine cartridge for the blu plus :(

Any and all help would be appreciated.

You're using what's called a "cigalike", a cigarette-sized battery. This is a very inefficient and expensive way to vape.

At minimum, you should use an "ego" battery device, preferably with "variable voltage". This is a larger battery (cigar-size) which will allow longer use between charges, is more powerful of a battery, and has more options for the juice delivery device which sits on top of the battery.

eGo battery setup

An upgrade to that would be an advanced personal vaporizer (APV) or "mod". Many more features which are actually quite useful and practical.

It's my personal opinion from experience, that using nicotine in your vapor and not using the nicotine patch at all would be more successful for you to quit smoking. Do some more research and educate yourself.

You may want to look into the Kanger subtank and box combo. It will set you back about $60, comes with a sub ohm and 1.2 ohm coil (you can get a 5pack for about 10-15 online) and just add in some zero nic juice that can be found online just about anywhere. If you really dont know where to look, eBay vendors sell this kind of juice. That way, you will have an avp, it will be easy to refill, of high build quality, and easy to use (just throw away the coil every 3-4 weeks and pop in a new one). If you would like more information or have any questions, feel free to PM me.

If you are set on a cigarette style, mig cigs have a pretty good reputation. Blu is pretty blah...

Otherwise, I'd get a vv ego style, minimum. I personally dislike top coil atomizers, so suggest a couple evod glass or protank 2 mini tanks to start, many places have them fairly cheap, and replacement atomizers are ~$8 for 5. Ego style batteries are more portable, but also more limited...might want to get an istick(smaller box) aspire CF (larger tube shape),or a higher wattage box mod if you are sure you will be sticking with it and cost isn't a huge issue.

I've only been vaping a few months, and I'm looking to get sub-ohm tanks and RBA's and need more wattage than my MVP 2 provides, so look for at least 40W.

Thank you all for your ideas and thoughts. I went to a vape store and got some atomized cartridges and some non-nicotine juice that fits the blue plus. I managed a week and then backslid a day, but am back on track. Hopefully something this simple will work with the path as this vaping stuff is terribly confusing to me. Again, thank you all for your responses. :)

FYI, I quit smoking over a year ago using the Blu100 kit. They DO make 0 nicotine cartridges for it. It worked really well for me. I tapered down from high to med, med to low, and low to 0 in about six months and I don't even vape anymore now. The trick for me was the blu seemed the closest to the "feel" of my cigs and I just used it exactly like I always did. I took "smoke breaks" and went outside, even at night, I didn't go back and forth I just switched, and although I had a few physical symptoms the first week - when I learned how to properly pull on it without covering the air hole with my finger :( it was smooth sailing for me after a week. For me the blu kit was a no stress, no fuss, no muss easy way to switch without spending TOO much money and without having to learn all the pieces, parts, and juices and how to put them all together. I know that is the fun part for some, but I wanted foolproof and simple. I don't know why the new Plus kit doesn't have the zero nicotine version but if you're interested the Premium 100 kit does. I know many have been less than pleased with blu and moved on to other options but I will be forever thrilled and grateful to them for my smoke-free life! Good luck!
