Non-PV related batts explosion.

Hi all, just want to remind everyone that all rechargebles carry a risk. I was happily make my Poorvari V2 last night and my cheena $30 rotary tool exploded 5m away from where I'm sitting. 3 out of the 4 Nicad batts exploded with a gun-shot type loud bang and the plastic housing was absolutely blown into a thousand pieces.

If something is too cheap to be good, it probably is and you should really spend more $$ to safeguard ur ....

true. It's better to use a 'branded' equipment most of the times..

yeah...lucky for that... but imagine 3 gunshots @ 11pm at night with the whole family sleeping....

Try to remove batteries or disconnect tools/device from any power source when not in use?For PV it's fine if you take a few draw nice,long draws once at regular time intervals.
