Hi all,

A few minutes ago, I finally gave in and bought 2 VV Reo Grands. Before you ask, I bought 2 because I'm married. When I started looking at reos, the wife leaned over, took a long look and said "you're buying one for me too, right?" And such is my normal vaping life.

Now I'm looking at atomizers like a hamster spinning on its wheel.

I've not tried every atomizer out there. In fact, I wasn't sold on dripping until I tried the HH357. Anyway, my favorite atomizer remains the 357 but I've read that some have trouble with them on LBFs.

And then I really like Aero bridgeless atty's and bridgeless atty's in general. But I've also heard some say they had serious issues with bridgeless atty's leaking and or them shorting out.

I'm not ready to get into RBA's at this point. I've considered trying my favorite atty's and hoping for the best but I don't really want to get the Reos in and find new atty's are in order first thing before I can really enjoy them either.

The cisco 2.0ohms are where I'm leaning at the moment but after buying the Reos I kind of want to get a bit of advice before I spend any more money today.

So any advice or atomizers to look at and or avoid with the Reo would be greatly appreciated. I figure I have until Monday before I absolutely must place an order for something.

You'd be leaning in the right direction. :) Sounds like I don't have to tell you how good Cisco attys are and tho Im using a reomizer on my VV Woodvil ATM I was previously/exclusively using Cisco bridgeless attys and never once encountered those issues you mentioned.

I'm like you and just now diving into all the knowledge of RBA's but have not actually bought one yet.
The atomizers I have been using have been nice so far:

1. AMG Hybrid Bottom Feeder from vapage.
I bought a pack of two many many months ago and they are still going strong. I think these were made with bottom feeders in mind and I have not had any problem with them at all. Flavor and Vapor do not seem to suffer and are still way beyond the hassle of a Cartomizer.

2. IKV I06 Atomizer
In all honesty I do not know what name brand I have for this or where I got it from, but I know I read Steve K's review on this and bough one to try out.

Ikenvape Io6 atomizer review

I bought mines over a year ago, but was still using Carto's so it was much neglected. When I switched to my first Bottom Feeder I gave this another try and loved it. Very warm Vape, very Vapor Cloudy Vape.

Both Atomizers are around 1.5 or 1.8 OHM's with a 3.5 Battery.

Welcome, Keely :)
I loved the few HH357s I had. But the atomizer I used most on my reos was the cisco 2.0 306s...both bridged and bridgeless...and I loved them too. Shorting usually comes from an over extended center post on the atomzier crushing the gasket on the connector. The center post should be nearly flush with the threaded body. If the center post is sticking out too far, you may be able to push it back in by pushing it against a table top.

I'm right with Lisa, on this one (always the safe bet, btw;)). Finally, I'm having luck with attys using the 2.5 ohm Cisco 306. Next purchase is the 3.0 because I want to use the vv more than I now do. Also, those single coil 1.7 ohm mini cartos remain my back up for out and about. And one more welcome from me, Keely:toast:! You (and wifey) are gonna be pleased as punch:D!

I agree with this. for me the IO6 from Iken where the best ...before RBA coming out.
Whit a VV I would try https://www.ikenvape.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=io635

HV atty @3.5 ohms.
I allways used the LR (1.5 or 1.8) beause I was at 3.7v

First, thanks to everyone who has offered advice. I apologize for not getting back here sooner. Work ended up eating up my so-called-weekend.

Thanks for posting your experience. It helps ease my mind a great deal. I may try the regular attys on it too but thus far, I lean toward bridgeless attys as a preference.

I can't help ya with attys but you did good buying REOs. Congrats.
Thanks. I'm looking forward to trying it out! :)

These atomizers work well for all my REO's. Found that these Joye are really great for the price. With two VV REO's running these should last both of you quite awhile. They also sell the L.R. in bulk. Genuine Joye 510 electronic cigarette 10-pack of black atomizers
Thanks for the link. The price alone tempts me. I'll pay the price for the more expensive atty's but there are times I do wince at the price.... and look the other way while purchasing. How long does one typically last you if you don't mind me asking.

Sigh. I just placed an order from RTD on Friday yet for some reason did not think to check on their attys.

The HH-357s were awesome for me....on all my REOs. Any 510 atty with a hole in the bottom will work....you should be able to use all your old stock up.
Now that is information I wanted to hear! I have a real soft spot for the 357s and Hanna (the maker) has been terrific to me.

Thanks for this. I'd not heard of the AMGs but I do enjoy the hybrids. I'll check them out. The Ikv's...well, I've wanted to try their carts in the past but they were always sold out. Do you by chance know if their attys tend to stay in stock a little better than their carts? I ask because I hate the idea of finding something I really like then having difficulty acquiring more.

Welcome, Keely :)

This is great info for me, thank you. Although I've been dripping almost exclusively, I still don't feel as knowledgeable about atty's as I do with other equipment. I will note, do not try this on a 357 - said from a recent oops experience. :)

If you like Cisco attys (they are all I use other than RBA's ) then The Cisco 3 ohm are great on a VV. my favorites are 306's.
I keep hearing about the 306s but have yet to try one. Some things I've read say they gunk less than a 510, others say they gunk more. I end up spinning in place going, but which is it. That said, I do think I'm going to try at least one. I'm too curious a person not to. Do you recommend the 3ohms because you can push them higher? I ask because thus far I've yet to go above a 2ohm atty. I do use higher ohms on carts and vivi's though so I'm not adverse to it.

I'm right with Lisa, on this one (always the safe bet, btw;-)). Finally, I'm having luck with attys using the 2.5 ohm Cisco 306. Okay I have to ask, which one [of you] is Lisa? :)

What do you run or push your 2.5 to if I may ask? With the 1.5 I use, 3.8 volts is its max before it gets angry. A 2.0 357, on the other hand, can easily push to 4.8 volts. Did I mention I'm still getting a feel for atty's?

Thanks for the welcome. I'm pretty happy about the purchase! Although, what I'm most happy about is buying 2 Reos. Okay, the price made me order through my fingers but at least this way, I know I'll get to keep mine instead of having it stolen. I had a VAMO for all of a few hours before it was swiped!

I agree with this. for me the IO6 from Iken where the best ...before RBA coming out.

Wow, I don't think I've ever use anything rated at 3.5ohms. Now I have to try one for the curiosity factor alone. Thanks!

Keely higher ohms means more coils with more vapor. Also gives a wider voltage span with the vv.
Huh. For some reason I had the opposite in my head.

Rhapsodies Fire = Lisa....our fearless forum leader.
That is good information to have then. Thank you! :)

Really enjoy LR 306 @1.5 om my old school Mini still, in addition to my new Grand with RBA.
All this 306 talk is going to cause me to spend yet more money. It's never just one purchase it seems.

The Vapage ones are designed for bottom feeders; they have slots that prevent flooding by allowing juice to leak back out. Also, if you like Cisco atties (me too), the Empire Mods 510's are just about the same thing, and a couple dollars less. All three work well for me.
Thanks for this. I've not used the Empires before but I will check them out. There are times I don't mind spending money but others where I do love saving a few dollars.

Subscribe to the digitalciggz.com news letter. Every so often, they run a sale on standard resistance Joye 510 atomizers. Five attys for $9.99. They work very well on VV Reos.

Thanks for posting that. It's not a site I'd stumbled onto before.
