I see no reason to stock up.
The fine members of this forum have provided list upon lists in thread after thread after thread of their stashed stockpile, where it is stored, organized, itemized inventory lists.
A one stop ‘shopping’ experience of sorts.

My biggest fear is that battery technology will move on and that alone will make 18650s, 20700s etc hard if not impossible to find. The Anti vaping campaign doesn't have to do anything. Technology will do it for them.

18650s also have many non-vape applications. While we obviously can't say for sure, it's highly probable that they're not going anywhere.

The other sizes though, I'm inclined to think they'll be "Buh-bye".

Someone needs to invent an 18650 pass-through. Remember those?

LOL!

I think about three people purchased it. Amazingly, I was not one of them.

If they think too many people are mixing their own e-liquid with stocked-up nic, they'll take away vg & pg.
I don't think that will be an issue unless substantial black market develops in DIY liquids, and I doubt enough people have stashed enough nic for that. Most people only have enough for themselves, and possibly one or two friends or family members. I don't know anyone that's got enough to be a "supplier".

If they think too many people have enough mods to last a lifetime, they take away 18xxx & 2xxxx batteries.
Loose cells? Perhaps. The cell manufacturers don't want the liability anyway. But then there's power tool packs. Most of the contain high-drain 18650s, which can be harvested. Such packs are what the cells we use were made for to begin with.

Strictly speaking batteries aren't necessary to vape. They're mighty convenient, but if push came to shove, I'd build myself some tethered mods. That lighter socket in your car? It provides ~120W and a DNA2xx board can be configured to run from that. A desktop PC power supply will also provide sufficient 12V to run it, or I could just build coils that vape fine at 5.0V or 3.3V, which are also available from such power supplies.

I was, I liked it and kept it on my desk at work, back when. The wiring eventually came loose from constant twisting. Mine had a AC connection. Provari.

Sometimes they even tell you the location of their nic fridge.

I have one of the 510 pass throughs in a drawer someplace. Don't think I'd care to plug a tank into it.

EDIT: Holy c**p. I just did and it works!
I did just for a hoot in mid-2017 - works fine.
It'll still work when I run out of non-hilarious stuff in 2059

Remember that silly little "Drive" thing (or some name like that) someone came out with? Little disc looking thing, designed strictly for use in cars.

I had a few KR808 bypasses, but I kept burning cartos. I think mine were reg'd to 5V or something. I can't remember. WAY too long ago.

It won't like my .18 ADV build

2014 - "It works. Winner!"
Now we expect mil spec aviation tolerances from mass produced overseas crapola.
2020 - "I don't like the soft buttons. Damn them all to hell!"

2040 - "I could get a few more years out of it. Pass the epoxy.""

Same owner as above - early 20's landscraper - my FB post from 2017

"Batteries like these are a tragedy waiting to happen.
Take care of your batteries or we'll see you on the news. I confiscated these from a vaping friend. Follow Mooch & Daniel Batista on FB and Youtube. If you're local to Central Mass and need a rewrap or have hacked/missing insulators then bring them over and I'll rewrap them for free."

I'm not too worried about no batteries. The husband would rig me up some awesome stationary vapes wherever I was, (except at work I don't vape there.)

He is not an electrical engineer but he understands a great deal about it, probably more than many who do. I will occasionally ask a question and he will say, "I need to check my answer" but it's rare. He also rewired the ENTIRE crack house himself, with a new fuse box. Alone. He said he knew how, it was still terrifying, he called the power company 3 different times to check (it was Baltimore now) but said when he tapped into the main (fortunately dead) electricity in the house his hair stood on end but he was not sure whether it was like "fear" or "death." LOL that is the kind of dude I need helping me with this project should it occur.

I believe batteries will be around for a while I mean aren't they Canada's main like export product? Besides hockey players and a good natured and COMPLETELY incomprehensible way of making socialize medicine work. I kind of have a hunch Canada's overall good nature is like "Oh gosh I will die and you can't fix me for 20 months? Okay then I will try to drink lots of beer to help myself." And the doc is like, "Excellent plan brain tumor."

It's just a hunch though but f I whine ENOUGH the husband does amazing things. We might be able to patent a new type of vape that uses the kinetic and musical sounds of windchimes

BELIEVE. LOL
