How far down should I let my battery get before recharging? Do I wait til the light flashes?

I normally charge when it starts flashing.
I have seen it said here that a few folks feel that if you charge them before the lights flash, that It will make your battery have a longer lifespan. I dont know about that......

If I am using an 18490, I usually wait until the end of the day so I can charge the battery overnight. With my orbtronic 18600s, they usually last two days and I charge it at the end of day two.
The few times I actually got the battery flash I just swapped them out right away.
Our provaris seem to be much more efficient with power than my other mods so they last and last and last.

You can, a good APV won't let your device drain your battery much lower than somewhere around 3.3 volts. You can also recharge it before the light flashes, I do both. If I know the battery is getting low and I have a fresh one, sometimes I'll change it before the device gives its warning. Either way you should be good.
Edit, Thunderball, and ChiefAllDay beat me to it, also didn't realize until I answered the device was a ProVari.

but this does answer a question for me lmfao...the other day my TECs wasn't out of battery but I noticed the volts was listed at 3.2 instead of it's normal 3.6 - 4.2 and the system powered down...I like chief don't usually wait til the battery is completely drained...usually every 2 days or when the battery level get's down to about 1/3 I let it charge over night....rather safe than sorry...been without pv's before not so much fun lmfao.
It's ok to recharge before they flash... it's ok to hit flash point. However, letting a low battery sit is not optimal for battery life. Charge soon, charge often.
Oh I totally know what you are talking about when it comes to having a dead battery. The initial panic, and then the frustration of not having a charger available... I now have more than enough spares and my little xtar charger with both ac and car adapters. Never again. LoL.

3.2 is normal, its odd but some of my stuff will only go to 3.4, while others will go to 3.2. Good to see you, our Lady of Shining Light. Hope Santa was good to you and yours, and best wishes for the New Year.

So if I've been vaping it for a few hours and I'm leaving the house for a few hours, I'll check the battery and may pop in a fresh one to be "safe" (and no - I don't charge the other one while I'm not there). With other devices, you KNOW when you're down to 3.6 or so - because it starts hitting "weak" - that doesn't happen with the ProVari.
Once it's blinking, you only have a VERY short time left!

lol oh I had a bought of some bad luck...my ego died, was piffed a mech mod the charger crapped out the spare used battery went bad...ordered my tecs it was delivered but due to the whole customs crap that hit the roof at same time the bat and charger were sent back to hk lmfao....it was not a fun time at all....
so yes yes, word of wise have backups and more backups...in the end cig-a-likes are nice to keep a hold of, as crappy as they are they work without much issue if not very well but they are nice in a pinch.
